Its not just about assist's its his all round game,, he would of given opposition managers problems with match ups and with the other two it creates space and options for others... TM will change the shape and structure of the starting line up, it is a massive blow if it turns out to be true...
Losing the goal scorer would be a far greater blow.
Well I can't be bothered to look but in the league I'm going for one.
2. Lameiras vs Millwall and Arma vs CreweWell I can't be bothered to look but in the league I'm going for one.
What about the turn, that takes 3 or 4 players out of the game creating space for others?
The turn that left 3 Wigan players flat footed, and led to Maddison hitting the post?
It's the link up play he provides, the space created, the drawing of fouls for free kicks in dangerous areas.
No one has mentioned assists, only you.
So how many does he have? Namely how many of the goals we have scored was he directly responsible for?

Define directly responsible for.
If you mean direct assists, not many I imagine.
But if you mean, taking two players out of the game, creating space for the assist provider or scorer, then a few times.
Edit: according to FRY, it is 2 assists.
You really are a total pillock sometimes. He's been heavily involved in the majority of our good play. Directly responsible for goals or not. But no doubt you'll get a few pages worth of amazing arguments out of this. Fucking boring.
Well certainly neither of the goals against Wigan, not Fleck or JOB's goals against Crewe - I can't remember who passed to Armstrong for the other. Also 3 of the millwall goals either.
Stop being an hysterical drama queen.
Thank God he's injured then .

Fuck me G that's the hattrick...Players get injured. It's a fact of life. It's really not a crises of major proportions is it?
Personally I think there are 3 or 4 other players who we would miss far more than him. To say "it's been a good 3 weeks but" now he's injured is hysterical beyond proportion.

JOB with the pass for Armstrong.

Idiotic
Dion, Robbie, Cyril, and TommyI think the point is, whilst most can see (and I suspect, you too) that this is a big blow to the early season flair the team has produced; you seem to have taken the contrary view for reasons of a verbal joust (rather than reason).
Curious - who are the four players we would miss far more than Maddison (and are Arsenal watching them)?
Say that then.
"How many assists does he have" makes you sound like one of the "FORWARD" shouters. And now I'm involved. Great.
We'd be on 9 points if he hadn't started a single game.
Not really.
The fact is at least in his role we have Lameires who could step into the identikit position. You may argue he is less adequate but he is capable.
It would be far more concerning if Armstrong was out for months. It would also be far more concerning if Ricketts was as a combination of Johnson and Martin isn't appealing.
Vincelote is a central midfielder who copes under pressure and can move forward with some ability and link the forwards into play. If he's out for months I doubt Connor Thomas or Jack Finch could fill the role.
I would also say if Stokes falls down Haynes is no great replacement.
Players get injured. To have 3 or 4 threads dramatising this is ludicrous.

Shit...literally no one who can play his role at the club and it showed when Walsall dominated us and we had no link from midfield-attack.
Better get a few calls on the go Tony.
Gutted
Think Lamieras can play the role.
Yep, I think he could
