Kev Malaga is decent in the air, even tho a poor header lead to the Pen, what other qualities does he possess?
Today he did exactly as Woody and Murphy told him (the plus side of an empty stadium is hearing the players)
Brown will be a better CB, when Clarkey is fit and Hussey replaced, we don't have a bad back 5 :)

A pro at scoring disallowed goals?

Malaga likes to play the ball out and keep it simple.

Although he isn't the best at long range passing :(

He got far too square with one of their strikers in the second half, and the striker turned him and should've hit the target.

I wonder if Brown's deal was based on him playing a lot? I'd have him on the bench once Clarke, Christie and gang are good to go.

Brown is god awful, he will not be a better CB

At the moment he is playing as a right back and a right midfielder. Bit harsh to judge, Thorn is the god awful one for playing him in such a ridiculous system

I like Malaga. One of the few players who is always looking forward. And when he has to go backwards, he always manages to play it to Murphy's left side (Murphy being left footed).

Yes it was a poor clearance that lead to us conceding the pen, but I thought as he had no one near him, it should have really been Murphy's ball! Had he done that, the scew whiff header wouldn't have happened and Woody wouldn't have had to make such a clumsy challenge

I think that may be because of the language barrier (as far as I'm aware, he can't speak English), and because of that lack of communication is why he does some really dodgey passes, at least when he does them, at least they go out for throw-ins so we have a chance to reorganise...

Otherwise, looks like a good signing IMO.

He has been poor, yes he is not at his favoured CB position BUT, when he came here, he was supposed to be versatile, able to play across the back 4 and DM, no problem. Also, it's not ATs fault Christie and Clarke are injured, otherwise they'd be playing! If you have been to the games, he was at fault for 3 goals at the minute! (v Yeovil, Sheff U and Bury 2nd goal) that is not the managers fault, it's his. Period!

Cut the Thorn vendetta, Brown is supposed to be able to play RB so don't blame Thorn for playing him there!

Also, it's easy to blame a system when results aren't what they 'should' or 'could' be, any alternatives won't do better!

He has been a bit hit and miss in his first 2 games and i think he is going to develop into a good CB however I dont think having Brown next to him is helping his cause

I like the look of Malaga and think in time will be decent enough for this level. Reece Brown will certainly make a better CB than a RB but i dont think that will be good enough.

Yeah I accept he's being played out of position, but he frequently fails to get a football under control, it's simple stuff.

i like jordan willis, from what i've seen of him he's great in the air and strong, commanded the game against southampton last season. Defensively solid and versatile.
Prefers the centre back role but decent right back too, would play him ahead of brown anyday!!!
