Awesome! I was up at Eastlands last week and they beat Villa comprehensively, but didn't get out of 3rd gear! Today they were quite simply amazing!

I actually was at old trafford for the game as my Uncle and Cousin's guest as they are big Man Utd fans (Quiet car ride home)
David Silva is a magician but also Rooney's movement around the pitch is quality I was in awe of the quality being shown
I had a good time only second time iv been old trafford the first being with the Sky Blue Army a few years ago in the League cup
Maybe im just bad luck for utd haha

David silva is quite simply the best player in the league by a country mile

Called this a few years back around family. I always remind them whenever he's in the news as at least four years ago I said he was going to be a star player. The guy just oozes skill and class, he was just amazing at Valencia and came as no surprise that he moved to England.

Much as I dislike anyone buying the title, least they play in baby blue (It is NOT sky blue and never will be so please stupid ANNOYING commentators, do NOT call them "The sky blues").

Why do they have to be booked ,he was wearing sky blue underneath, balotteli

Messages beneath shirts are not permitted (incitement maybe)

Sums up his IQ to have had it printed, knowing a yellow card would result.

I can sense a sore plastic manc. ;) I'm pritty sure players aren't allowed to remove shirts due to sponoship issues not because of a message on a shirt.

Shame if its true Corno/ Marty,it just made me chuckle,as a side note Richard Wood was lucky at leeds having already been booked when he showed that birthday greeting too his son

Pretty sure it's true, banned around the time Henry had lots of messages if I remember right

Nope, deservedly lost 6-1, no complaints. The sponsorship thing probably is partly to blame too, no doubt, the last thing a major sponsor wants during potential exposure is some player covering it up/ prevent it from being on TV!

Does this mean that all those Man Utd. "fans" from up and down the country who have never even been to a game will now swap allegiances !!

Well I laughed when I saw the shirt - seems I'm in a minority of one! Fair play to the lad and on what grounds would that sum up his IQ? If iot was his second to get him sent off, that would be stupid, but he rarely tackles and risks getting another and probably doesn't care at the odd yellow. Its a stupid rule anyway. I could understand if it said "all United fans are C***s" (which they are) but this was clearly meant as harmless fun.

Well just add it to his repertoire of throwing darts and setting off fireworks.

I put it in the same category as players jumping into the crowd or taking their shirt off; they know it's a bookable offence, so why do it. (whether it should be bookable is an entirely different matter)

I'm sure city fans wouldn't have appreciated it had he picked up a second yellow, which despite how low risk- could potentially happen, especially with much of the game still to go.

Speaking of Balotelli, apparently he spent today driving around Manchester in a Bentley convertable with the roof down, high fiving man city fans!

Totally agree.

Corno, sorry mate but you sound exactly like my nan. If I was a player and scored in a massive derby I'd go mental and probably jump into the crowd. Last thing I'd be thinking is "Can't do that, going to get booked for it"! My nan would obviously say after "why can't you just shake hands with your team mates like those nice young men Bobby Charlton and Bobby Moore used to"! And somebody's said Wood didn't get booked for his celebration against Leeds - not more inconsistencies from refs?!

Yeah KG, Bobby Charlton & Bobby Moore probably shook hands after scoring goals, but these days there's a massive incentive in the way of goal bonuses, so I'd celebrate just putting a few grand in me bank as well! ;)
