The idea that Ferguson was the sole reason of their success and a team who romped the league will somehow forget how to win football matches is quite the odd theory.
Incidentally, didn't hear it here first, scousers have been predicting their doom for an entire day. It's admirable that they can type it out with all their fingers crossed.
Granted it sounds a little strange.....The richest & most succesful club in the country who have just walked the title looking to a future where they won't win another one for years to come....but I really believe its the start of the end for them.
1990: Liverpool (the biggest & most succesful club in the country) walk the title.....Dalglish left.....not won a title since.
Busby leaves the mancs in 1969 after 2 recent titles & the European cup...they get relegated soon after & don't win another title for over 20 years...
1987: Howard Kendal leaves Everton after recently winning 2 titles, the FA cup etc.
....They've not been close since....
Etc. Etc.
Big clubs fortunes do seem to turn when managers that have been part of the clubs fabric & soul leave....
Football in 2013 bears little relation to those days though with both the money and youth system in place for them, and Moyes has clearly got the Ferguson seal of approval. I'd put money on things not really changing much for them.
