I'm sure it was said when something happened the other week it's not actually illegal. You can buy a crossbow if you are over 18 and then the laws seem to be about where you "fire it". Crossbows And The Law – The National Crossbow Federation of Great Britain ncf-crossbow.co.uk A lot of it does seem to be about age, A quick google and looks like I could buy one online easily if I show them my ID to prove my age.
