As we had him on trial, and went on to sign him following that, can we not complain to trading standards that the product we thought we were getting wasn't the product that turned up for training?

In all seriousness, it's my slight concern about Pressley that he had plenty of time to look at him, still signed him... and then binned him off quickly afterwards.
I know not every signing comes off, we haven't exactly had many other signings to judge Pressley on, and I'm assuming he was cheap on wages(!) but we can't afford many mistakes.
It's an attitude rather than ability problem according to Pressley, so he could well have been playing for a contract then slacked off. Funny if so though as he's only on a year deal.

I was worried about us being so interested in him while in Holland, and it all being so secret to prevent him being poached!
He looked clumsy and useless IMO, so we signed him!
I know we had the embargo so were limited in what we could bring in, but I didn't think he'd cut it. I have since revised that, as I think it was Carlisle he looked like he could be a real handful and offer us something, but Pressley appears to have gone the opposite way.

At the last SCG meeting TIm Fisher said he was not fit enough to play in the way SP wanted, he had the skill but could not maintain the fitness for whole game. Not my comment, it came from TF.

Pre season against Oxford he hit one of the hardest shots I've ever seen. Crossbar's probably still shaking now.
Another Lee Mills? Great whilst wanting a deal but as soon as he got it he was crap. Gotta say though, the car park named after him was cracking. Certainly miss that more than the player himself.
Edit: To be fair he probably turned the game in our favour when he came on at Wolves.

Pretty much what SP said/alluded to on a post match interview 3-4 weeks ago, about not being about to play the Coventry way (I.e high intensity pressing game) and it was unacceptable and would send him on loan.
