It's not a case of facing teams we did alright against earlier in the season. As of now Rotherham are out for survival and will be a different proposition to what we faced earlier. Bournemouth have picked up form again and pushing to get promoted. And so it goes. At the crucial end of the season what we did earlier has zero bearing.
We wont have an easier game this season. Derby were possibly the worst side we have faced . They set up badly for us and reverted to the toothless style that they played under Cocu and are in some disarray. We beat them but didn't batter them and it was a mistake we punished that led to the goal.
However, we worked hard, concentrated for 90 minutes and were quicker to the ball for most of the game. Even when they brought on Joswiak and Watson, we kept our shape and didnt panic.
Getting the result was massive though and the confidence it should bring was badly needed- felt we were just starting to see heads drop after Middlesbrough game.
Absolutely. Next few fixtures don't look great. Have to hope we can raise our game to the standard of the opposition.
Hopefully Dabo and Kelly aren't too bad and with the international break might not miss any games. Lose those two and a weak squad becomes even weaker.
