No thanks, We'll return to the aimless long balls he use to do as a player.

Really? He was a piss poor player. Good at running backwards when an attacker was bursting into our box though, I'll give him that.

Would prefer him as cover at LB to be honest.

Marcus is saying you don't want a relegation on your CV, fook me look at Bell, Clingan and Murphy's CV!

Would Hermann still count this among his relegations? Is he even still actually under contract to us come to think of it?

I would love to see Hall's CV@

1998 - 2003 - Below average at Coventry City
2005 - 2006 - Below average at Stoke City
2006 - 2010 - Below average at Coventry City
2011 - Northampton Town. Don't even ask me about that.

Sorry, my post was written for dramatic effect. He did have one good game. I remember now. Apologies to him.

Was Hall at Forest at some point? I'm sure it was him, might not have actually played a game though.

He would have been below average at Forest too.

He was definitely below average at Stoke. A mate who supports them said he was "shocking". I just said "Yep".

I still reckon he should have been given a few minutes in that disastrous game against Watford at the end of the season though. I can see Coleman's logic that you wouldn't want Hall's last game with us to be that shitfest, but I think we can take it as read that he would have scored at least four to win it anyway. If Hollywood teaches us anything about storytelling, it's that (either that or he'd have been fatally shot by an armed robber one day before handing in his badge).

Actually, I thought it was sweet revenge for all this poor performances over the years.

His "knowledge of the club". Which is what, looking at the table on teletext?

INT: Hall household bedroom. Marcus rises sleepy-eyed and switches off the alarm. His partner turns over.

Ms Hall: Be safe out there! Think of our villa by the sea, one more day and we live the life of Riley.

Marcus: I'll be fine, it's only Watford.

It's more than you or me. He said he knew thorn well as chief scout and he lacks the ability to discipline players. Bear in mind he will still be in touch with some of the players as well so will know more than me or you.

Imagine watching a game live on Ceefax now, waiting for page 2/3 to see if there's a change in the score. Would have been better today, come to think of it.

If he'd just left the club then fair enough, so nah, don't get it. He should keep his mouth shut even if true. The club and players need to concentrate on the next four games not worry about what some ex-player thinks.

Being a local lad he's a bit pissed off with whats happening at his club, something you would never understand torch.

True, but if you didn't have us outsiders supporting YOUR team you'd only get a couple of thousand every home match.

Linnel was blubbering on about how thorn was doing a great job. He gave his honest view which was appuadef by the subsequent callers. Are you saying we should suppress opinion. If he had said thorn is great and doing a good job many on here would use that as evidence to say thorn is a credible manager which he isn't.

Of course we shouldn't suppress opinion. He's not been at the club for three years so I don't value his opinion as much as you do. Nothing more.

he said he would do anything asked of him for the club because CCFC is in his blood .....an attitude many at our club could learn from and emulate

He wasnt seriously putting himself forward as manager - but really loves the club so when asked by a fan said he would manage if asked and be proud to.

His two main points were that he didnt feel that some of the players put enough in, didnt want it enough - a point many would agree with especially when looking at the "senior" players. The second was that AT is too close and friendly with the players- there is no fear factor and that makes the players too comfortable. It is very hard to disagree with either point or indeed many of the comments he made.

He spoke intelligently and with passion for CCFC - hard to fault him for that I would think.

Well said. He is more sky blue than anyone at the club but let's slag him off as he told the uncomfortable truth.
