Surely as a Championship footballer in the last few years, he would've been on a decent wage? And by decent, I mean quite a bit more than Joe Public?

I hope he sorts himself out as he's obviously had some mental issues. Seems strange though that a footballer who has played at a high level as recently as two years ago, needs to ask for help to fund a £3k knee op.

Just checked - his weekly wages for the last 5 years (although no data for 2021)

2020 - £3.9k per week
2019 - £3.9k per week
2018 - £3.9k per week
2017 - £1.9k per week
2016 - £1.9k per week

So he's asking people to give him as much money as he was earning IN A WEEK, just 18 months ago?

Nah, you're ok mate. Good luck to you, hope you sort your knee and your head out but earning that much, you can pay for it yourself.

I'm guessing that he doesn't have any money and that's why he's decided he wants to play again.

He definitely seems like the sort that would piss it all away too.

He should ask the Pfa that is what they are there for.
