Been announced today that Martin Crowe had passed away after battling cancer for a number of years. He was one of the best batsmen I've seen play the game and took New Zealand forward virtually single handedly whilst in charge of the team.

He finished before my time but his record speaks for itself, world player of the year at 19, records up there with the best!

Revolutionised NZ cricket dragging them forward in the 80's/90's.

Always enjoyed his commentary and knowledge, seemed like a very popular & good guy!
