QPR v Coventry - Head to Head

I was thinking about going to this (since i live in london), but all my mates are shit/busy. But at least it's on Sky i guess!
QPR away will probably one of the toughest games of the season, but if we play like we did last week there's no reason why we can't get something out of it (especially with Marlon back). I'll take a guess at a 1-1, although it depends which Coventry we see- Coventry from the Sheff Utd game, or Coventry from the Xmas period!

Team i'd put out would be (assuming Clingan is fit; if not, replace with Doyle)...
Westwood
Keogh Cranie Wood O'Halloran
Baker Gunnarson Clingan(c) McSheffrey
SuperFred King

I think we will stick with the same side, with the exception of King in for Duke. fairly confident about this. we played well against them at home, and if we can create like we have done lately, surely freddie and Marlon will have a field day. Freddie can show us his "Gypsy Grabbing" and bag a goal haha

Sorry guys but cant see us getting anything from this game. Id wouldnt be too disheartened whatever the result as long as we play decent.

I think that if Mr King steps up to the plate, then a draw is a possibilty. However I don't remember too many occasions in recent seasons when CCFC have performed well on television. Maybe Aidy can change that also.

I'm normally Mr optimistic but got a really bad feeling about tommorow :( I'm going 5-0 QPR, 4 of the 5 in the first half and probably King to get sent off (again ;)).

(Although the other side of me secretley hopes for a 3-0 win :))

my honest opinion is the play offs are gone for us weve lost too many now and would need 5 wins straight to even get back to 6th which realistictly i cant see us doing.

Yeah play offs are gone, nice dream though and enjoyed it while it was going well.
Just need to keep trying to play good football and finish in the top half and have an actual realistic chance next season, just look at forest and cardiff, it's still not decided even when you're up there.
Played well against a good team with those good players they've just got in, let just keep our heads on and look at the positives (we've still got westwood for example, and king got one on his first game back)

Play up sky blues!

Battling performance, but undone by the brilliance of Taarabt and Routledge - our defence couldn't deal with their threat. Let's hope the confidence doesn't get knocked, it wasn't a bad performance and the results will come as long as we don't slip back into playing how we were over xmas.
Any news on why Freddy was taken off at HT? A knock or was Juke on a tactical move?

Was a battling performance and the lads should be happy with how hard they battled. Some great players at QPR now and they showed some pure class. Tough games coming up and we need some results now. Aidy gave the impression Freddie came off because he wanted to mix it up with strikers. No mention of a knock or injury thankfully .

I completely agree with this, we have to try to continue to play decent football and aim for a top half finish. Then hopefully strengthen the squad for next season and maybe make a push for play offs then

I wouldent say playoffs are gone as such. If I remember last season we put a run together in Feb/March time when we beat Peterborough 3-0, then we didnt win a game after! Plenty of football to play in a very open league.

As for the game we played decently, Keogh seems to be getting worse every game lately. Baker wasnt too good aswell. Think Eastwood and King is the way to go upfront with Platt being used as an 'impact' player.

Taraabt and Routledge are two PL class players who were class quite frankly. I'll go as far as saying that Taraabt can play in a top 6 Prem side.

We had a good go on sunday but as one bloke on the radio said expensive quality proved to be the difference.

Eastwood and King up front on paper and on sundays showing is definately the best pairing we have but only time will tell. Juke fustrates me at the minute, he isn't very strong, not very fast, looses the ball too easily sometimes and often makes the wrong decision in front of goal (The rebound chance vs Sheff Utd being the biggest example) but i think with experience and some decent coaching he might get there.

The way we have played in the last couple of games i can't see us seeing much of Platt unless we are chasing a game. In the last couple of games we haven't been as direct as we have been before so Platt won't really fit in because King can do all that Platt can and he has pace and an eye for goal.

But things are looking good and i really think the next 3 games are there for the taking if we perform!
