Fry has one of the worst reputations in footballBarry Fry has history of making ridiculous public statements on the value of players, I remember him quoting £4m for Jonathan Hunt in the 90s who was at Birmingham, I think he got a transfer to Derby and his career just evaporated...

And for blokes from his era there is a very long list.....
Bright must be injured, that's my guess. Perhaps he did fail a medical somewhere? Why don't we use the money on Brights wages on loan from wolves and put Hiwula up front his natural position.
Opinion from a Posh supporting friend:
Very meh. Not great, not bad. Just an average L1 striker really. Could really go either way to be honest.
Panic signing this for me hope we are looking elsewhereYour mates gonna get splinters with opinions like that :emoji_laughing:
“We’re going for it”Matt Godden. Nowhere as good as the last two we signed from Posh.
“We’re going for it”
Tbh I’m hoping for better than Godden if we’re serious
I can’t see this even happening posh are already playing games knowing we’ve taken a reported 3m for players in last 2 months by saying 500k is not enoughWho do you think is available that will be better than someone who got 18 goals at our level last year?
I don’t understand why they would sell a bloke who whilst isn’t a world beater clearly has had a good first season and scored goals? Who they paid 400k for themselves to a league 1 rival?
Doesn’t make sense to me

Robins needs backing here if we’re seriousI don’t think it’ll happen either but I’d be very surprised if we brought in better.
Terry Bly and George Hudson both record fees at the time £10k and £21k respectively, if we found a centre forward half as good as Hudson we’d walk the leagueMatt Godden. Nowhere as good as the last two we signed from Posh.
Clubs probably haven’t made decisions on the players in questionNot sure why our bids 'remain on the table'
Glad somebody remembers themTerry Bly and George Hudson both record fees at the time £10k and £21k respectively, if we found a centre forward half as good as Hudson we’d walk the league

Apart from Terry Bly, who was the other ?Matt Godden. Nowhere as good as the last two we signed from Posh.

Even if it isn’t true they are always selling players it’s a huge turnover if staff every year

Amazing turnover they have. Posh have this knack of making a good profit from players every season and keeping a strong squad. They find some tea gems and sell on for a big fee.
And yet strangely never seem to improve.
That is the model at this level. We are actually not that dissimilarGrendel is right. They spend and bring a lot in, but also sell and turf a lot out. Consistent churning process.
