Would need to be quick though or they'd have someone watching and telling the manager when to challenge. Could make it even slower over all.I wonder if it might work better with a 'challenge' system like there is in cricket and tennis. A team gets 3 chances to challenge a decision of their choosing and loses one for every failed appeal.

He avoided a yellow for that. Shit refMy only gripe about Godden is his celebrations. He needs to make his mind up. Is he a plane or is he lawn mowing. After the penalty he seemed to launch into the air to do a CR7 realised what he was doing and changed his landing accordingly! The third saw him whooping and stripping. Sort it out Matty.
Just read the rest of the thread and see that he did get a yellow. Shit refHe avoided a yellow for that. Shit ref

It's above on this threadI was convinced he didn't & as you say all of the Match Reports missed it too but there's an image doing the rounds on Twitter which shows he did (buggered if I can find it now though).
Yes, I would be very surprised if he didn't as that seems to be a guaranteed booking, and it's not as if the ref could miss it. I'm not sure how the media get their stats, it may be just from a reporter at the ground, who may have missed it.I was convinced he didn't & as you say all of the Match Reports missed it too but there's an image doing the rounds on Twitter which shows he did (buggered if I can find it now though).

Edit: Just seen Johhny Blue's post above, I doubt MG cared too much though

I just think fundamentally offside isn’t really possible for a human to judge properly in most cases. They need to be looking in two places at once. At the very least a little buzzer that goes off when the ball is played forwards or something.
Or just cut all the crap and go back to clear offsides and benefit of the doubt. All this armpit offside crap goes against the spirit of the game IMO. They seem to have managed to make it harder with all the rule changes.
Agree on your second paragraph, that's why VAR should be abandoned entirely so as not to have a two tier game. The referee's spontaneous judgement call is far more entertaining than somebody using a computer to work out that an elbow was ahead of the last defender.
Yes it is, the trouble is, it's almost, if not completely guaranteed to result in a booking. It would be annoying if he had been on 3 or 4 cards, but as he was on zero and in view of the significance considering the circumstances ..........It’s a daft rule anyway, in a moment like that it’s hardly unsporting.
