I think you're very very wrong on Sheaf, but that's besides the point. I think James is a Kelly replacement anyway, not a Sheaf replacement, but I'd still take Sheaf over him if he was due to his resale value.

I wonder what the criteria is though, number of starts, number of appereances...? What if Sheaf isn't that keen on signing anyhow!?
I think we'll agree to disagree on who's the better player as I just don't rate Sheaf with the games I've seen him play.
I don't think James would be a Kelly replacement as Kelly still has at least a couple of years in him at this level, he reads the game so well, I believe James would be signed to bolster the squad/1st team regardless.
I understand where you're coming from re. resale value but I just don't see it myself sadly.
