Personal view: Yes. The fans have been alienated. Any chance of reconcilliation went out the window with the banner and police incidents. If the protests had been allowed to fizzle out in the typical City way, they would have done but in my rose tinted glasses City fans love a bit of adversity.

My view Macca would still stay the same on Sisu even if the team started to do really well.

My reason for this would be because they control all the off field stuff and so far they have in my eyes done piss poor and I wouldn't feel safe that anymore players wouldn't be sold off.

My own opinion fwiw is that if we did well and climbed the table, then it would be in spite of sisu and not because of them, It would be a tribute to the manager, coaching staff, and right mental attitude of the players, and nothing to do with the "Hands off" involvement of our owners.
But because of the general fickleness of human nature, a prolonged run of good results, may even see some "SISU IN"banners.

I thought the protests put some of the players off yesterday, Clingan seemed to lose concentration at the height of the trouble in the stands. Personally, I don't think the protests will do any good at all because there's no one to takeover if SISU do go.

Thing is Macca, the fans aren't stupid. Any 'push up the table' they know is not sustainable because of our paper thin squad. Fans can quite clearly see that we are trying to operate to the barest minimum and that as the season wears on it could very much come back and bite us on the bum.

Yes i believe it would stop as our fans are fickle. I reminds me of last season when a big revolt was planned but we won and it was all forgotten! We start climbing the table and bringing in some good loanees it will subside. No more graffitti'd bedsheets!!!!

It's a good question Macca! At the end if the day the football is what matters, u would hope the fans would surpport any success!

this about over the season though. Any team can get to within 2 points of the top 6 for the odd game here and there. Sensible, rational City fans can clearly see that there is no way we can sustain any good run with this squad!

I have to say that since the letter from Onye and our relatively successful deadline day I had decided to give them a second chance... until... the events that occurred yesterday. You would think that no club would want that kind of publicity and would prefer a peaceful protest. The stewards for the second game in a row incited all the violence that occurred. There is no doubt that the players would have found it a major distraction yesterday.
I think overall we still have open promises from SISU and I am going to give them an opportunity to prove themselves by making a loan signing or two.

Well let's hope and pray that happens. We are at least 3 players short.

We have a capable team. Two or three loans are what we need. We have enough cover in defence and up forward, although lack quality in numbers up front. We are playing the sort of football that gets you out of this league. We need to help the players as much as we can during the game, not hinder them.

I know it has been hard to watch our team go through these hard times. We have been stripped of squad players. Not all of these have been good enough. Most of us agree with this. It has been said many times "this player is sh1t, that player is sh1t" The problem is that none of these players were replaced. We have expected more. We needed more. We have been given the bare minimum to keep us going. We will never know how much of this is to do with the credit crunch though. We were promised things we never got. When SISU came in they said they would invest 30m. They also said they wanted to purchase the ground amongst other things. They did say though that they would have to cut the outgoings right down and start again. Hopefully we have now reached the rebuilding part of the plan. More performances and results like yesterday will have a few more thousand at games at least. Extra income=more that can be done with squad.

I am not saying they went about the job of turning us round the best way. Something had to be done though. We had a squad of players that were on too much money for their ability. It was bleeding our club dry. This had been going on for a lot of years. Maybe we have been lucky to have had youth players come through this season. SISU had put money into the academy though. Would these players had come through without this investment? I am now waiting to see if the loan players come in we need.

I fully understand why we have seriously upset fans. Failed promise after failed promise. The thing is we have been fed bullsh1t for many years now. We have done countless protests over the years. This is the first time though we have a name to aim at instead of sack the board and all similar comments. The only good thing I can see coming out of this takeover so far is that our squad has less useless players. The few that are not good enough for us are on lower wages. These are our squad players. We are now very light in numbers. We need 2 or three quality players to join on loan and no players to be sold until at least the end of the season.

I know I am going to be shot at for saying this, but I think SISU have got rid of the crap in our team, finally got a manager that gets the team to play the way we want them to and also have a team playing well. This was done in a relatively short time. We were nearly down and out when they took over. The problem is we have nearly been down and out ever since they took over. I am hoping that this is because we were in the transitional period. We were rotten to the core. If anyone thinks we were in good shape when they took over needs their head looking at. We knew it was not going to be a short job turning us around. We just expected things to improve a lot quicker. There was two ways of turning our club around. Removing the crap and starting again, or doing a Fester and spending untold millions aiming at instant brilliance. So far they have failed. Cardiff have been doing the same. They have failed too. The teams that seem to go up most of the time are teams slowly built up with good team spirit. We have seen we now have a team playing the ball around with good team spirit. When was the last time we could say that? Think is was for a little time when we had Wise, then the time I remember before then was the late 80's.

Just about every part of CCFC was in a very poor shape when SISU took over, yet they are blamed for all our problems by some. Things are still not all good, but they could be worse. If they can be blamed for our problems they should be able to take a little bit of praise if things turn around like they look as though they are starting to. They are still called asset strippers. We hardly had any assets when they took over. We sold one player this closed season. We know for sure they turned down bids for Jukey. This is why I hope we have finally turned the corner. I am still not a lover of SISU. I am waiting to see what happens next.

Not a bad view of the situation. I don't think SISU are the answer, but I'll wait and see.

Looks as good as any squad we have had for many years, yes you have to agree. They are also playing the best football for many years. Top marks to AT. He has done a good job so far. Maybe a bit of begrudged praise is allowed to SISU for putting him in place, although some will say they gave him the job as he was a cheap option. They had tried the known names. They had also tried the manager that had been there and got promotion. I just hope that AT does not get poached by a team like Fester and SISU don't cash in on him. Lots of chairmen will be looking at what he has done and will want him. Most teams in this division are now operating on a shoestring. Only one or two teams have a bigger squad than last season. The rest have a smaller squad. We are ahead of the game in this direction. AT could become the most valuble asset we have. Would he go though? :thinking about:

Anyone could see he was a good choice for the job.

I think we have turned the corner, the problem i see is when the transfer window reopens in January and all the players are performing, thats when SISU will cash in as they will sell for higher price .

Just like Bigi, you want him to do well but not that well that Sisu will be able to sell him.

But some fans will fans willjust come out with the old oh "they are just getting rid of the crap"

Spot on, and Thorn was Ransons man, there is absolutely no doubt about that. Just remember the passion with which he spoke about him on CWR after his resignation. Shame he didn't hire him as gaffer instead of Aidy, eh? We are very lucky that it didn't count against Thorn after Ranson had left that they were buddies. That is partly why he chooses his words so carefully! I think we can all guess what he really wants to say, there are a few hints in every interview.

Probably. I guess we either lose Cranie and Sammy then, or lose them in the summer for nothing like we did Aron/Westy/King. So we bring McPake in at CB and hope that Deegan is fit to replace Sammy, with Thomas a bit more experienced by then. That's my vision of the SISU strategy in action, at any rate. Not saying I like it, but there will plenty on here that argue it is for the best and making us stronger.:wave:

We have always been a selling club though. We have a lower income so have always had to supplement it with selling players. I hope we do not sell anyone else this season. We have already sold one player this season. Maybe if we put a few wins together we will not. We will have to weigh up losing players for free again at the end of the season against getting a small fee for them in Jan. If we look as though we have a chance of top 6 or higher finish then strengthening should be done, not selling. If we are a top 6 side then maybe these players will then sign new contracts.

I do not know it all. Have never said I do either. I do look at things on merit though. I also do not lack so much intelligence that I have to call people names like some others on here.

I have started to doubt this myself. I was told this was a good site for debate and there was a lack of idiots that just do name calling. Must be me and my thoughts that have brought this site down to it's present level :thinking about: I am proud of where I am from. I am realistic in life. I know my team will give me pain. They have for a lot of years now All worth it for the occasional good times though.

For me the protests are pointless anyway. What will happen if SISU do leave? We lose our cash supply, we go into admin, get relegated, sell all our top players and then hope someone will buy us. If not, the club could conceivably cease to exist.

I'd definitely say we should all be careful what we wish for. SISU may not be ideal, but at the moment they're the only thing keeping the club alive. If we survive this season I think we'll be in good shape to turn the club in the right direction next year. Of course it's still a big if but certainly still possible.

My thoughts exactly. If we had investors queueing up at the gates then protesting might get us somewhere. We need to remind them we have a voice, but this should only be to keep them on their toes. What we must remember is they want promotion as much as we do. They would then make millions of profit. They will not make a profit until we do go up.
