Annoys the life out of me!! Why get a player in on loan just to back fill our reserve team?! He can certainly find the net aswell, which is more than can be said about anybody in the 1st team!

It sounds great but then George Thomas scores regularly too, but has already been written off by many on here.

Thomas does score goals but he needs lots of chances...when he played pre season he started bright but then maybe missing some potential goals put too much pressure on him if some had gone in we most probably would be talking about a very different G Thomas, needs to work on his finishing and the right type of fitness because he just looked too bulked up

Very strange signing. From articles where mowbray had discussed McBean it really did sound like he'd come just to play in the reserves.

Sounds like a favour for someone in America (set up by Brody?), I'd imagine it's a similar contact to the one that got us Rose.

Exactly I would say. Don't think we can lose, only win from the deal.

He's got the same agent as Rose, that crank who was broadcasting the Pompey match from his phone

It can't hurt to build relationships with US teams.

Don't understand why they didn't put him in the squad for the Northampton tin pot cup game, they could have given him 30 mins to see how he coped against opposition in the same league as us.

Id rather have mcbean in squad than wright, seems consistant and has a good attitude, keeps plugging away!

if we are doing a US team a favour i am sure they would have no issue with mcbean playing competitive games in league 1!

we will probably see him at some point, when manager thinks hes ready
