A brilliant defensive unit - can't think of a better defensive three in my time watching the club. McNally was a master stroke in the window.

They have been great and having panzo on bench who on his day is just as good as great situation for us.

Rose decent but his time probably gone now. Still played his part of we do manage to get promoted.

Returning the thread to the original theme.

I've said a couple of times this year that the threesome of Fadz with his experience and knowledge and the youth of Doyle and McNally to learn from him has not only improved their games but has created one of the steadiest CB partnerships in the Championship. With Wilson behind them gaining more confidence from their stability, it's why we have so many clean sheets this season.

Sadly, I doubt we'll get either back next season either on loan or a perm deal as both have shown their parent clubs that they can perform regularly at a high level. Man City forum has said Doyle is already in Pep's plans and is interesting European clubs.

McNally looked like a team of the year candidate in his first few games but has come down to earth in the last month - nevertheless, if we hadn’t signed him in January then I doubt we’re in the playoffs today. That current back three is the foundation of everything we do, and they’ve showed up how much Panzo and Rose were lacking.

Yeah that spell of Rose - Doyle - Panzo was a bit sketchy.

The McNally signing was absolutely critical.
