No you can't. Councils are supposed to value their football club as an asset in itself. Not a cost and an opportunity to make money.
Sisu are saints compared to that vermin.
All a bit pathetic really.
We've all been wondering what the 'truth' is, who did what, to whom and why. We're all wondering who will win, because some of us really want to know what went down, and some just want to post the ultimate 'I told you so'.
Whether we delved deep in to the facts, listened to the PR spin, read the Telegraph, joined the Trust/didn't bother or has a 'mate on the inside' down the pub....
....how about taking a second to reflect on who fuckin' lost? No doubt about that one; We did.
Whether you went to Sixfields, whether you didn't, whether you upheld NOPM, whether you didn't....no matter whose car you stuck your balloon on....the people who care most are the fans. Not the Council, ACL or SISU.
The sooner we all recognize we all lost, the more unified we can be when we think about moving forward.
CCFC are still here with a better deal than before.
When did you turn wise(ish)?
They have never said they would not do the deal. Fisher made a glib comment after the event and that is not the same thing.
How much of a better deal is it in reality? If you factor in the extra matchday costs, the loss of office, club shop and ticket office how much better off are we?

Or unless you are a complete arse and dont know some of the other facts out there. So because someone has died it means there is never another story. Good job the Police arent as blinkered or all murders would be death by natural causes.
They have never said they would not do the deal. Fisher made a glib comment after the event and that is not the same thing.
No. The councillor has died and SG has paid his respects. If the OP has quoted SG straight from the CT which he has and commented this tells you all you need to know about SG what else can it tell you about SG other than he knows how to be respectful about the recently deceased. Unless you are a complete arse and want to try and read some subliminal message into someone paying their respects.
Using something someone has said about a recently deceased person for some sort of petty one up man ship because you have an agenda with either the person saying it, the person who it was said about or the public body the recently deceased represented is pretty low, in fact it's just vile. If you can't see that quite frankly you're a prick.
You fucking idiot. There is a journalistic story (not the something from down the pub) story going round about said Councillor, of whom I didnt know and feel it was sad he went at such an early age. The Telegraph have chosen to ignore that story, for whatever reasons, of which there could be many, whilst another publication has looked at the story.
That said it appears you are the prick as you cant see past the end of your nose, and never see that sometimes there may be a bigger picture out there, and if you think this is about one upmanship then you are an even bigger idiot than I first thought.
WTF have other stories got to do with someone having the decency to pay respect to someone that they clearly knew personally.
The man paid his respects. If you want to use that for some sort of petty one up man ship there's no hope for you. Your moral's are in the gutter.
(edit) and the same goes for anyone low enough to like your post. Yes I'm talking to you Torch.
Meanwhile, the protagonists in the sorry affair are reviewing their considerable personal bank accounts (figures comfortably healthier than ours)....all the while, not giving a flying fuck about you, or your internet points...

Well if we want to continue arguing, raking up the past, and going round in circles, as for not owning our stadium lets just add Bryan Ricahrdson, I seem to recall he sold one we had owned for more than a few years.
I fully agree. But did you know that Grendel thinks that he is innocent of all charges?
Nobody did except Sisu
I have no issue with people paying their respects, let's turn it around and say Les Reid was saying about Tim Fisher his friend. Meanwhile it was being reported about Tim Fisher "allegedly" being up to some dodgy shit in other places but he didn't mention it? Just after stuff has come out about the sisu have done deals to surpress news etc?
If some of the accusations were aimed at Tim Fisher or Joy Seppalla, dead or alive people would be all over them.
You can still pay your respects, without making it look a bit dodgy/
Look at all the stuff Les Reid got thrown at him, yet it comes out deals have been made to keep things quiet (allegedly) , reporters good friends with councillors (if they are good friends, are they going to drop them in the shit??), PR companies briefing them yet nobody raises an eyebrow.
How much of a better deal is it in reality? If you factor in the extra matchday costs, the loss of office, club shop and ticket office how much better off are we?
Well they shouldn't have sold the rights to the merchandising then should they or is that someone else's fault as well.
Whose "they"?
That's not really a defense though Nick (although there's a couple of morons who think it is as they've liked there post) because anyone who did what you've described would be equally moronic.
Sometimes and this is definitely one of those times, if you've got nothing nice to say don't say anything at all. Which in the event of something tragic happening to a SISU employee, owner or what ever rather than embarrass myself by stooping to posting something disrespectful and moronic I'd simply say nothing at all.

Sisu, because it wasn't we.
Surely not owning the shop is the same as not owning the stadium in regards to incomes for FFP ?
Obviously its okay to do one but then complain about not owning the other.
Sisu are idiots and some on here fight their corner.
Ironically, nobody has caught up with the totalizer of how much you did.
Only you, but who's listening ?
So who owns the CCFC Shop then?Maybe he's talking about Rangers and their brilliant deal with sports direct where they get 75p from every £10 of revenue.

Can someone explain what's going on with this Gilbert/Council bloke/death argument. I'm totally lost.

As for Rangers why would I mention them on this site
Oh and how much do we get from everything we sell in that shop.
