Strange, Mark and Pete questioned SISU.
People are responding to shmmeee because he constantly makes things up and chats nonsense. He is the son of an ex council leader and the bloke who was running the Trust when they were plotting to force the club into admin with Haskell and ACL. He knows half a story and keeps showing it every time he has a melt down.
If you want a cult, making you can ask him about his old man and his mates? Failing that you can have a look at the majority of posters in here who will be going week in, week out to support CCFC and leaving politics out of it while they support the team.
I know it could be pie in the sky but could a bond or share scheme offered where the fans own a percentage of the stadium, also as in the meeting with Dave and Mark it was mentioned about the great community work being done, that is why if a new stadium was ever built it has to be in Coventry not some farmers field in Baginton or Corley!Frankly I would snap your hand off for a ground like Shrewsbury's at the moment. At least we'd be playing in Cov.
Modular grounds are the emerging trend in stadium builds, a lot of the World Cup grounds will be done that way, there's even one ground that they're planning to take apart after the World Cup and re-use as four separate grounds! Starting with a 15-20K ground that can quickly, easily and relatively cheaply be upgraded doesn't seem like a bad idea to me.
In terms of making it our own thats something the supporters could take on. I suspect we'd care more about it and do a better job than the owners. A CCFC museum, images of the greats around the concourse etc all relatively cheap and easy to do but would make a big difference.
Of course the usual caveat being there's very little chance of there actually being a new ground.
Anyone in the legal profession have any idea what kind of fees SISU will have paid over the duration of these cases?
Like me- I'm in that group but I still reserve the right to question them about our potential new home.

To be quite honest Nick all this shenanigans (indemnity) by the WASPs is down to the fact they have a shit storm coming and they see CCFC as a an option to give them a safety net from going tits up! Refinancing the debt is going to be very difficult indeed! Are you still obsessing over Linnell's nonsense about asking for it to be dropped?
It's all well and good you trying to say people on here are backing court cases, go and have a word closer to home and people backing administration because they thought they might get some self importance.
Take your bitterness elsewhere.
I think the aim is to have a ground that's an appropriate side for the volume of fans, and not to have 10-15k rattling around in a 32k stadium. I'd personally rather go straight to something like 25-30k. Shrewsbury is provided as a similar new ground style, not meant to be a similar size or standard. It's kind of the opposite of wanting a character free, bowl type stadium - and the main point was that something 4 sided is much easier to grow and amend than a bowl stadium which is pretty much set in it's size and design once completed. Personally think 4 sided grounds have much more character than modern bowl type stadiums. Obviously the finer detail will be important down the line, and key would be fans having a say in that.
I don’t like SISU and wish they would fuck off.
There you go.
Yes I get you, and modular is the way forward- we could have something pretty good at lower cost. I would prefer the four stands actually, just not with huge gaps of empty land between the stands, thats where you put the museums etc. And you are 100% right, unlike others such as Nick who don't like anyone questioning SISU, you understood what I said, it is about identity. It would be our home forever, I want a proper home. That doesn't mean 32,000 seats right away, it means something to be proud of with identity and tradition built in, it does not mean a slightly bigger version of Shrewsbury's ground.
Don't get too wound up about doing anything to get back to Cov- they started this and they need to be challenged to get us back properly, not just at the lowest possible cost option.
Of course people can question it, nobody is saying otherwise? I am not sure why you pair keep making things up that nobody has actually said?
Multiple people are constantly correcting things that shmmeee keeps coming out with because it's nonsense. Making things up isn't the way to go about things.
She can’t ask for it to be forgotten - where does this come from? If she did the Eu could raise a separate investigation as there could have been collusion to encourage the case dropped. It can’t and won’t happen.
The next trick I suspect will be to ask them not to exercise a right of appeal - again they cannot agree to this either
This is why I get annoyed about them mentioning new grounds, I very much doubt it will happen but when they do mention it people focus on it and more pressing issues get side stepped.
If I'm wrong and there is a something in the pipeline then stay quiet until you're ready to confirm it.
I think the distraction it causes helps wasps as much as them because it diverts from pressuring the necessary parties to getting back to discussing a return to the Ricoh which in my opinion is the only realistic option.
Would be delighted to be wrong on this and to be sitting in the shiny new Ikea stadium in 5 or 6 years time but I just don't see it happening.
I agree with you about identity and having a permanent home but can't see it as anything more than a pipedream at the moment.
I agree with pretty much everything you say- apart from I find the Shrewsbury one horrible. I am all in favour of the four sided approach, I just don't want to have something that looks as cheap & nasty as Shrewsbury's from the outside.
I seem to be getting suck into some kind of Council v SISU v Wasps catfight but I am not saying anything about that, all I want is a home that befits us, and if they are saying they are "full of ambition", well then they need to deliver on it. That seems to have caused great offence to some who thing you either have to be 100% on one side or the other, but hey ho, par for the course on here.

I mean she literally can ask. She has the ability to communicate in English. The question is whether it would do anything. Clearly Wasps have had advice it would, and from Sisus refusal to do it I’d guess so have they.
Has Timmy Fishface told you to say that as a diversion strategy
I haven't read any of the shmee stuff because I am not armed with the facts and it was not what I was talking about. I have not made anything up, I am not addressing the whole SISU v Wasps v Council war- you should calm down.

So why are Wasps now asking for the statement? Come on. Engage your brain a little. Sisu won’t even try. Won’t agree to no appealing. Wasps are using backchannels in the media and with the Trust to put out their demands. Is a little critical thinking too much to ask?
Seriously what is your position? If everything’s hunky dory why aren’t we playing at the Ricoh?
The two positions here are mine: Sisu won’t stop the legals and Wasps want them to.
And yours: Wasps and the council are evil meanies who want to kill the club.
Be a bit dispassionate and ask which one really makes more sense. Come on!
wasps signed an agreement to cease the legals as requested. If you're going to start with your high and mighty engage your brain bullshit you really should put a bit more thought in to your own content. I'll repeat, they signed an agreement as requested, what are you struggling with?
Oh I’m an evil council employee hell bent on destroying the club. The twenty odd years I’ve been posting bollocks about CCFC squads was a clever long term rouse to distract from this fact because twenty five years ago my dad was a councillor. Just don’t call it a conspiracy or say that Nick is anything but balanced and rational or youve “had a meltdown”.

Well done ! It’s all spelt correctly!LOVE SISU, HATE COUNCIL

He’s struggling with the fact the complaint isn’t against them
this is the first time I've ever heard of anyone asking that someone they believe to be a proven liar make a verbal statement because they believe that over a signed document.
Not at all, nobody disagrees with you.
From what I can see, nobody on this thread really believes a stadium will happen. A couple of comments about it being 4 sided being a nice idea but that's as far as it got.
Who is actually offended or saying you have to be on one side or another? Again, there's no need to make things up at all.
Im not one to lose my rag on social media.
But with that Councillor Matons little dig in twitter i had to remind him hes a c**t
ok put it like this- the club comes first, and I agree with your stance (from what I can tell), I despise Wasps with a passion and the council over all this, I don't see as SISU are the ones to blame for St Andrews. But they were responsible for Northampton and umpteen other things. I thought it was a good meeting and progress, and right now our owners seem to have learned a few lessons and are getting some things right. But it does not change the fact that these guys utterly & undeniably destroyed the club, and at some stage these same people have to make a move on our home, and they must get that right... for some strange & mysterious reason I don't trust them to get it right. History shows that they will most likely try to land us in a small, character-free stadium, which we are then stuck with forever while they try to offload the club & get out of town. So while I share your views mainly, I don't trust SISU and I never will- but they do have the chance to give us a fitting new home which would at least be a way of repairing the damage.. if in 10 years we're all in a great new ground with character & details that make it ours, playing in front of 20k+ in the Championship & hopefully at some point pushing to go back up, then thats ok with me, we move on. But they need to be held to account.
But anyway, there does seem to be a sway towards getting a bit lary with people if they do call SISU to account, not helped by the fact that the twats on twitter/ facebook etc are so far the other way- I saw another thread where someone was just saying they hate SISU and the place went mad at them- doesn't need to be like that.
What was that?
Would love to hear now of seperate meetings between Sky Blue Pete -Mark 82 with Duggins and then with Eastwood and Richardson, I don't think this is impossible and hopefully can happen.
