Fucking hell. And people say I need to step away.
I am still struggling with this concept. Not disagreeing just wanting to be able to understand how a purchaser can be made to pay more than was agreed by the vendor. Surely it is the vendors problem...EU say WASPS got it on the cheap but HOW can they force the price up... is that how the law works ?
It was both, and they were challenged. Maybe we've done it less aggressively than you would have, but I'm going to do me. Pete will be himself. If you want things doing your way, then the best person to do it is you. We can't please everyone, but most seem happy with what has been asked and we will follow up with any further questions that haven't already been asked.
Look shmee this has gone on long enuff. 4 hours of arguing is not healthy for anyone. I get what ur saying but it feels like if wasps said change ya kit to black and yellow stripes and your badge to a wasp killing an elephant and you can come back to ricoh today you would say "well why wont sisu do this to come home?! Wasps are giving us a chance here". But no questions of is it a unfair demand we should agree to?
IF the case was successful that would be my understanding. Wasps would have to pay as it's essentially ruled as public funds that should've been paid. Seems mad penalising a private business that have not done anything directly wrong (speaking generally about such cases), but that seems to be how the law works.
I think that’s bang on. That’s certainly what my priorities were. I suppose the other concrete outcomes were 1) An invite to be on the supporters group as our forum is seen as part of the supporter groups that the club wants to continue to engage with. 2) Speaking purely on my behalf I was gobsmacked by the openness and depth of discussion that we were able to have and to share with forum membersI think the long and short of 22 pages is: this wasn’t a meeting to challenge them. It was an attempt to build relationships with the view to setting up a meeting between Joy and Derek.
Those of us who want questions answering will just have to carry on ranting into the void.

I can't believe this wouldn't have come up, Wasps legal team would have had to be incompetent beyond belief to have missed it. So the only conclusion you can really draw is that it was refused.Wasps would if they’d had their head screwed on had some clauses put it to protect themselves - it’s hardly a secret the company was already experiencing litigation issues
Makes me laugh that Gilbert in the past moaned about people on the forum posting quotes from the Telegraph but they will lift things off here without a second thought.

That’s better hold tight. You said to me that this was too important to piss about arguing or making statements on twitter and winning points and I completely agree. The one thing we can do is getting Derek and Joy to sort out playing in Coventry. Then we can ask about stadium or not and then about finances. And maybe one day in the future we can just argue about whether burge’s level is league 1 or belowAs I say I think my frustration was borne from a misunderstanding of the objectives of your group. From the initial statement I thought it was about “holding all parties to account” and read this with that eye, looking for account as it were. From a perspective of bridge building, it’s a cracking success. And as I say those of us who want to hold someone to account (anyone by the looks of it) will just have to hold tight.
"It's their fault, not ours" attitude make me despise Coventry council.
Do they actually believe they've done nothing wrong, going behinds Sisu's back to negotiate a price for the stadium on top of giving them a whopping 250 year lease, that was not offered to the club.
Come on they are seriously deluded, I think until a council change no one could work with this lot. Hate them to my core.
one day in the future we can just argue about whether burge’s level is league 1 or below
It’s the lack of follow up that bothers me. Duggins is a blase twat who gets your back up at the best of times, but why didn’t whoever was talking to him ask what he wants a Sisu to do? Is he saying the council are now refusing to help them find a ground after previously saying they would?

They missed out the bits about economic impact thoughI quite like that article. It absolutely says that Duggins doesn’t give a toss about the club
thats it one step at a time, get us back first create relationships with them then you can push slighlty on joy about the new stadium, these things take time to build relationships so you can get the answers you want eventually!
Although given how many stadia are being built, is there likely to be some innovation in prefabrication that caps it a bit?yes thats probably a better estimate fp
Inflation since 2007 alone would put the price up on the Shrewsbury stadium by 139% to 20.5m
Not Sisu it says he doesn’t give a toss about ccfcI quite like that article. It absolutely says that Duggins doesn’t give a toss about the club
Mark and I are hoping to meet with George Duggins very soonPete is following it up?
That would be fine if we weren’t about to head into possibly our most important season ever. I really fear we are fucked playing at St Andrews in the Championship. Things need sorting now.
That’s not a dig. Just frustration at all this.
Have emailed the story writer to make that pointThey missed out the bits about economic impact thoughDoesn't really show that hes more bothered about getting one over than potentially millions a year into the local economy.
Pete is following it up?
I mean in the articles. It’s always the same. We always come out with more questions than answers and no further forward when we all know the follow up questions that are needed.
Reading back it seems I’ve misunderstood and this was a report on Pete’s contact? God knows. Fucking CET reporting.
