I've just booked a holiday. Only a few nights in Greece but literally counting down the minutes.
Genuinely can't wait just to sit in the sun, tunes on, swigging a beer and just forget about everything.
Being furloughed has shown me beyond any doubt what a huge negative impact work was having on not just my mental health but my physical health as well.Yup. Work life balance is better and I don’t worry about lack of social life any more. Also I get to do everything without human contact which is great for someone with the level of social anxiety I have.
I work so much better at night. It's probably the feeling of peace. Definitely a thing though.Being furloughed has shown me beyond any doubt what a huge negative impact work was having on not just my mental health but my physical health as well.
Stress evaporated overnight. Obviously there's the stress of being furloughed and not knowing if you'll have a job to go back to but thats different as its something you can't really do anything about. Work stress is a different beast.
Lost nearly 3 stone since being off, literally started dropping off as soon as I was furloughed after years of trying all sorts of things and nothing working. Blood pressure down, loads of weird aches and pains have stopped. Have also realised I function a lot better on 10 hours sleep than 8, the difference is huge. And also my internal body clock seems to want those 10 hours to be 4am to midday! Apparently not that unusual, 8.2% of the population are the same. Article on it if anyone else is the same:
Couple of people have said quit and change careers but not sure that's entirely realistic in your mid-40s with a mortgage to pay.Extreme night owls: ‘I can’t tell anyone what time I go to bed’
What happens when your natural sleeping pattern is at odds with the rest of the world?www.theguardian.com

think you meant to post that on the rub it in if you're going on holiday thread mate!
I was on Sertraline for a while and found it didn't click with me. Been on Citralopram for the last 18 months and its working better, although I've needed to up my dosage recently. Glad to hear your doing well mate.I’m fortunate enough to still be in a job. Feel for those who’ve lost out because of it all. What’s better about mine is I can’t work from home, I believe that’s what’s keeping my mental state afloat. Anxiety still likes to remind me of it’s existence quite often though. The mrs can detect it even when it’s not so obvious, and that just makes me feel worse tbh. What I feel is like a discrete sort of inner meltdown is clearly more than that. Find it difficult to explain. It’s good to open up and accept help, but sertraline was a mother bitch to ween myself off, don’t wanna be reliant on it again.

The start of lockdown was shocking.
Working from home I was having about 8 cans every day while it was warm. I wasn't having to drive so didn't think about a cold can from the fridge at 10am.
The lack of football / gym also played a massive part too, no outlet at all. No release other than calling people on here or at work cunts.
Definitely, I have been as has the missus. I think everybody feels pretty pissed offI've found everyone snappier and angrier recently.

Well said, beautifully put.Just make sure you keep talking and communicating with people. Being on the end of a tragic event where a situation was kept quiet and allowed to fester can be fatal. Vent your feelings here but please talk to family and friends. Your GP will be a good listener but don’t rely on an over-stretched mental health service for timely support. Always remember, today’s problems will be only a memory next week, next month or next year.
Thanks for all your comments guys. I think at the moment it is a tough time for everyone really. Never thought reading arguments on here would be a good therapy for it, but it really is.
This has morphed into the 'rub it in if you can work from home' thread!
Only if we can get Sky Blue Kid out of hiding...As always this forum exceeds expectations. Once COVID is out the way a massive meet up and arguments would be brilliant
Or Backroom who started the mammoth thread .talking of missing posters, not heard from Evo for a bit.
I'm fine, built a new pc recently and have been playing alot of fifa and warzonetalking of missing posters, not heard from Evo for a bit.
Not trained martial arts for 6 months.....road rage levels through the roof - feel like i'm out there looking for trouble. Need to get back training asap
Feff off.
Since Boxing / Circuits stopped I have had days like that, I know people are doing online training but it's not the same as being pushed.
I've had a few days where I have hoped somebody would say something.
Thanks mate! Yeah it's a massive part of my life gone missing. Ive got a bag and weights at home, but its the intensity and nervous energy i miss.

I know a taekwondo gym open, buts it's a whole different art and has no pad work or sparring.
I hope all is good with you mate
ANd the lifesytle you have to lead when you are training regular. Healthy eating and no booze - else like you say ' you look like a pussy' hahaha! I've been kicking my bag on the way to the fridge to grab a tin! Was fun for a week or two, not so now!Yeah I have stuff at home but it's the atmosphere of a decent workout. You have to give it everything else you look a pussy.
On the bag at home it's not the same intensity or competitiveness.
Thats right mate, we can look forward to 3pm darkness soon tooI've missed that big yellow disc in the Sky today .
Makes a massive difference.
Good job I haven't really left the house today as I think anybody who even looked at me the wrong way or walked the wrong way would have got abuse.
pissed off because your team lost isn't a mental health issue mate - on second thoughts maybe it is.
That doesn't help to be fair but even before that I wanted to 2 foot the ref in the the Bournemouth game and the delivery driver who dropped something off.
