Didn't they say this summer that £500,000 from the sale of Bigi was going to the getting the Academy category 2 status, as well as the grant?
Better Christmas message from Joyless would have been along the lines of we have secured the loans of McGoldrick, Bailey and Adams until the end of the season with agreed options to sign each one if we get promoted. Mind you she probably doesn't actually know who they are despite her frequent attendance - I nearly gagged reading the final line - for all of us who support and cherish Coventry City Football Club and the role it plays within our lives. Hilarious Joy - truly hilarious.
Most CEO's issue similar statements regarding their assets this looks pretty standard fare to me.
We won't get mcgoldrick as he will command a championship wage which we are not allowed to pay even if we could.

Joy overlooked to illustrate that not everything is as clear cut as she makes out. Unless we have the two complete reports of incomings and outgoings we can't make a fair comparison.
1. She is not CEO of CCFC
2. We are not a typical asset - well I guess for SISU we are, just a commodity to be maximised and disposed off (real failure there Joy - wonder if that is in her SISU investors Christmas message)
3. We all know we won't get McGoldrick etc but if she knew anything about the club she so cherishes she would know the vast majority of fans want to know about on the pitch activity not the financial mess going on off it.
The same could be said of the "good guys" in all this, ACL.
Difference is Torchy ACL aren't making unsubstantiated claims about average rents and movable match day cost amounts etc. They have simply offered to cut the rent by 67% and give CCFC their 50% of match day profits from the IEC joint venture, yet every time it looks like the two sides are getting close SISU find a way of moving the goal posts.
Why don't they just stop playing games and come clean and admit what they actually want is the stadium complex by whatever means. If they were openly trying to buy it at a fair negotiated price then we could have a good debate about the merits of them owning the complex etc but I guess these typical desperate underhand dirty trick hedgefund tactics make it more difficult to see them in a favourable light.
Grendel - according to Joy its now 6 times the mythical average - I know its hard to keep up with the movable numbers SISU issue but please try

So publish them then we can actually see where they have come from - do they include mortgages and rents? etc. Also no one has ever argued that our rent isn't too high but it now seems that just as we are getting somewhere close Joy moves the goal posts and now chucks in match day costs which have gone suddenly doubled. Its just using whatever appropriate or inappropriate numbers to suit an argument.
Unless you see the contract you actually have no idea what's really on offer but just seem to lap up everything they say.
The club still has to pay a million in arrears back - why if ACL are now admitting its too high?

Oh dear another ACL worshiper. Quite happy to see the club get ripped off as they are owned by big bad sisu.
Think the point is though that £400,000 is way beyond our means and that in turn means that £800,000 is just so way out there that there is never ever going to be any way forwards for the club.
I maybe wrong but I don't think I've seen anything from ACL rubbishing the figures, and the telegraph haven't written anything discrediting the figures.
Sorry Stu but that has made me smile - the thought of the Cov Telegraph actually doing some investigative journalism.... thanks that has really made me chuckle
Says who? It'll clearly make a big difference to SISU in reducing their losses, but we paid in the rent in the Championship without a murmur of dissent. I maintain that £1.2m plus additional costs is perfectly reasonable and affordable for a club like CCFC - yes we are in League One, but that is the fault of CCFC and its owners, and another business (ACL) should not be expected to take a hit to reflect that.
Can we all remember here, ACL are not the baddies...SISU are.
Which is why you can't be objective about this.
