5 years at 1.3 million the could of bought half the stadium for that like they said they were going to.
What gets to me is they have known for 5 years what the rent was and they only choose to do it now?!? Either they were not bothered or they have some crap researchers!
Sounds to me like Joy has,is or is getting, a whole lot of support from other League clubs even to the extent of showing up the Council for it's small-mindedness and lack of support ? Clever move Joy !
Soon it'll only be Cov fans backing ACL
Can anybody be objective?
Ever since you claimed to want the club chucked out I doubt you can add much worthwhile here.
I didn't say that Andy, my sentiments were almost exactly the same as those in your previous post. Do I support CCFC, yes I do, but I also support ACL and don't want to see them driven out of business by our underhand tactics.
I'm afraid you did though CJ. I can happily find you the quote
Your Lordship - Whilst it was nothing to do with SISU when the original contract for rent was being negotiated between ACL and the club the original offer to the club was to link the rent to attendances but McGinnity turned this offer down. There is a difference in your analogy between domestic mortages and commercial ones - often domestic ones the 3 year period etc is a discount to entice you to take that one and not a competitors one and its quite rare for people to move their mortgage unless moving house as there will be all sorts of penalty clauses written in to discourage you from doing so. Commercial mortagges tend to be more straight forward but are more based on the Loan to Value ratio and it is this factor that SISU are manipulating in their attempts to force ACL into difficulties and get their hands on the Yorkshire Bank loan.
SISU's predecessors are worse than SISU, they got us in this mess (SISU did play their part I will add). I was all for moving to the RICOH (it was exciting as a kid), and in hindsight I still think it was the right thing to do, just not when we had no money to even own a stake in our own ground then having to pay rip off rent!
for me the implications are positive - and I thank her for cheering up my christmas
Why weren't you whinging about it last season taylor? Following fisher like a little puppy are you? You make me laugh, youre only a kid but you think you know everything.
ACL are not ripping the club off.
Perhaps because some of us want to see a football club run responsibly and which doesn't break contracts as a negotiating tactic. We have a vastly reduced income because of SISU's mismanagement but some here would have you believe ACL sold off most of the squad and appointed a rookie in charge.
It's not your club, its the citizens of coventry.

How much tax do you pay to coventry council?
It seems for some that their new found "morals" and pleas for value for the tax payer comes before the club they "support".
Yes, they have sold off players and they have got things wrong. But the stadium rent and our pathetic crowds were always going to make the move a bad one.
SISU take a fair dollop of blame, but so do the stayaways and ACL. No one comes out of this looking good.
Personally, I hope the club do what they can to get the lowest rent they possibly can for my football club. That will mean more money for the club.
How much tax do you pay to coventry council?
If they are originally from coventry then yes. The clue is in the name of the clubs name.
