Who are these players who seem to be trialists but told they are not required almost immediately, who is bringing them in ? and are they being let go for playing reasons or wage demands.
Judging by the reports on this lads debut, probably footballing reasons.
And to be fair, anyone on trial isn't wanted by their current club or don't have a club at all. They should take what they can get!

Was it mokoena
that was how we signed moussa
To be fair, Moussa has done piss all at Charlton, his standard is League One . Don't even think he's had a full 90mins at Charlton, always getting subbed off.
He is easily better than what we've got (barring Fleck although he is currently playing LM?!), but trust in Pressley I suppose...
If you'd still take our current strikers over Clarke and Wilson I know who'll I'll trust more with player selection.
Stand by what I said. Have an opinion and don't just attack me for expressing mine. Cretin.
I have seen Faris Haroun several times in the Championship, seemed alright but not worth bringing in, a Boro fan who I trust with respect to opinions on players told me that he started off alright at Boro but just petered out and didn't seem interested in the end before moving on to Blackpool.

Thats weird, you say don't attack you for expressing a view (and I didn't attack you), but you get the name calling out for expressing my view.

I think his view was that he'd take the strikers we have now at the start of last season over the ones we had then. Personally, I think Jackson would've scored 30 in the team last year despite people describing him as an impact player this year for God knows what reason.
So you wouldn't have him over Thomas, Barton or Finch? Amazing.
We relied on Wilson's pace for a good many of his goals, Jackson isn't as quick. Pressley may not be the best manger in England, yet no others seemed to want to give Jackson a go, I think that adds weight to the view he isn't as good.
Barton since he has come back in has done well, Finch and Thomas are players who we have brought though and are contracted players. Why bring someone in, who your not sure on, to pay higher wages, if you don't believe he'll deliver?
Why not invest it in an area we need to invest, I.e an experienced keeper, as you said "Amazing"

Why not do both?
We could do both, but let's say Pressley can get in two average type players or one player of a better quality for the wages of both average players, he is going to choose the latter.

All hypothetical and not what is happening in reality. Faris Haroun played 50 games in the league above for Boro and many games in the Belgian first division. Add to that 6 caps for Belgium and I can't fathom why we wouldn't give him a 3 month deal (like Moussa initially) or even offer him a pay as you play. We have all come to the agreement that Allsop isn't good enough, I see no harm in giving Burge till January to prove his worth. If he's not impressed enough to hold down a starting spot, then make your move for a) a new keeper on loan/free or b) bring Charles-Cook back from Nuneaton (He seemingly doesn't lack in confidence from what I've seen and heard). We KNOW Thomas isn't good enough and tbh the same goes for Barton, don't get me wrong I appreciate the talent he has (or once did) but he's had 2/3 good games before and then gone off the boil. Can't comment on Finch as I've only seen him play a centre half in a coupe of friendlies.
A spine of:
Martin Johnson
Haroun Fleck
Madine #CL4CK
That is a strong spine, both physically (Haroun is 6'2) and technically.
That's all very nice and hypothetical, but in reality SP has spent a period of time with Haroun and has decided he is not as good as what we have, that's what counts.
You stated that Haroun played 50 games for Boro and that's a fair point, but Leon Barnett played 45 games for the Baggies in the Premier League and Championship and look at how shit he was, basically reputation and history don't count for shit.
I appreciate where your coming from but we looked really solid in the Middle of Midfield on Saturday with Barton and Finch, add to the fact that I am sure either Fleck or O'Brien maybe moved back into that position once Danny Swanson is back up to speed, with Conor Thomas as well, I don't think a player who we can't say definitively will be a worthy addition will be just that.

'Basically reputation and history count for shit' stop please stop I'm done.
Barnett continues to play at the level above too.
Who the hell is #CL4CK ?
Strong spine physically with fleck in there....

That's for me to know and you to find out.
Surely fishing with that Fleck comment.
