Peterborough have just sold Washington to QPR. They are catching up with the play off pack.

Let's hope Walsall and Burton lose a few players...

QPR and Forest are after Burton winger El Kayouti.

Walsall as we know have a few of their players being hunted.

All helps with our promotion bid if the clubs around us lose players.

Of course they will have money to spend and might get good replacements. But it does disrupt team spirit if a top player leaves.

I understand and I use to look at it like this but I'm a bigger fan now of winning our own games and keeping our own players.

Prime example when JFH left burton over a month ago we all said they were for the drop and look at them.

thats great news, ive been impressed with washington. this could derail them if they do not replace

and before sickboy chimes in i said it COULD not that it will.

would love walsall to lose bradshaw and burton to lose their winger but who knows

Strange one Washington is, looked garbage for two years for Peterborough and gets a move off the back of two months in two years.

If he didn't play Peterborough you would guess nobody would be interested.

Sawyers leaving Walsall would be a bonus too!

Yeah your right he was getting lots of abuse. When they played us I think he was the lad who had a good chance one on one and missed putting them 3 nil up last minute of first half.

We all know how the match ended.

Like it helped when a couple lost their managers?

It's a sad state of affairs when we are wishing other teams to lose their players.
I would hope we are good enough regardless.

Thing is, people are talking here about other teams losing players as if we are seemingly immune ourselves.

If Fleck and Maddison were to go right now wouldn't we be weakened too?

yes but we are more likely to re-invest the money than Walsall

George Evans has gone to Reading, he was on loan at Walsall for the first half of the season

I don't get statements like this. Why TGp?

How do you know how much Walsall would re-invest vs what we'd re-invest??

Do walsall not have to make a profit as a club to allow their owner to take his ground rent? This could be wrong but if correct goes a long way to helping.

also a bit of history says they do not really invest too much on the playing staff.

aside from this its all guess work and maybe a bit of wishful thinking

Good player was surprised when Walsall subbed him.

It's wrong. The rent is the first thing to be paid, and we make profit as standard.

You're right we don't invest big in fees, but why would you when you can get the likes of Deeney, Grigg, Bradshaw, Sawyers, and Henry for free. More fool the others that pay over the odds to buy players on the way down.

It was right in a way, because the chairman will never spend more than we can afford, or his pension pot doesn't get topped up with the annual rent.
