He will be in the top flight in this country next summer, one way or the other.surely we would be asking for 15m plus for MVE, not 8.6m
It’s the typical lazy journalist tactic of finding a price quoted in foreign media (€10m) and just converting direct to pounds. There’s no way on earth we’d let him leave for that little.if he did leave it would be for more than 8.6m as well
I’d doubt it, another good season here and he’ll be in demand from better clubs with more money to offer.Lets hope it doesn't turn his head and wants away
MVE is class and I'd be gutted if he left, but a few things are in our favour here, long contract, serious promotion ambitions and if he were to leave you just know that Doug King will get the best money possible for him and then we'll spend it. Got to be looking at 20 mill+ for him easy, I hope we stand firm, if we don't go up we could be losing a few key players next summer.
PSV wouldn't exactly be a backwards move would it they are in the Champions LeagueBackwards move for him and us they don’t have the money to buy him. Maybe when he’s in his last playing days.
He want to play in the Premiership and that’s with us next season.
Gouda thought it?Strangely googling dutch cheese selection.

Relax. The Doug takes no prisoners when negotiating.Agree completely, £8.6m is way too cheap in my view, I was thinking more £14-17m, and I think he’s genuinely worth that. I get that we can reinvest the money but it’d be poor business if we only got around £8m for him.
Just seems odd the article says it’s “set” at £8.6m, maybe I read it wrong, is that us that’s setting it or the buying club?Relax. The Doug takes no prisoners when negotiating.
It’s just baseless speculation anywayJust seems odd the article says it’s “set” at £8.6m, maybe I read it wrong, is that us that’s setting it or the buying club?
Not according to the fan forum at the Tavern tonight. ‘Big interest’ in Sheaf and MVE. Though I take the comments with a pinch of salt considering who said it.It’s just baseless speculation anyway
Was it Dawkins? Not according to the fan forum at the Tavern tonight. ‘Big interest’ in Sheaf and MVE. Though I take the comments with a pinch of salt considering who said it.
Probably just read stuff on Twitter and here like everyone else. Not according to the fan forum at the Tavern tonight. ‘Big interest’ in Sheaf and MVE. Though I take the comments with a pinch of salt considering who said it.
Hadn’t read that, could it be a clause in his contract, similar to the Vic situation at Sporting.Just seems odd the article says it’s “set” at £8.6m, maybe I read it wrong, is that us that’s setting it or the buying club?
