Their players looked more up for it than ours. First to second balls, making challenges, killing the game off.
Looked like it was us that had just came out of isolation and that was the difference for me.
Really poor performance tonight, i don't remember their keeper having a save to make, we didn't deserve anything from the game and don't seem to know how to take the lead in a match, we're in the doldrums and need to find a way out soon or the play offs can be forgotten.
Tactics were wrong from the start. We had two defensive midfielders and they packed midfield band so we had two defensive players and O Hare
We had only two routes to create chances. o Hare trying to force through a brick wall and just get Kane to run and cross. Their keeper hardly worked.
Rowett made an effective change at the right time we didn’t
It’s bizarre Allen is given a new contract and isn’t considered good enough ahead of Kelly
Shocking management and laboured performance
They were poor, very poor. But they looked like they wanted it more.Don't think they did, they were very poor, horrendous at times in the first half, but our passing was way off and we lacked even more quality than usual in the final third.
We were undone by failing to deal with a set piece.
By the sound of it too, we have had a lot of problems covid wise, players isolating and not training too... but not publicised it.
They did try to kill the game off - but who wouldn't.
Who would you have played in midfield?
They were poor, very poor. But they looked like they wanted it more.
Thought the attendance was quite solid tonight too
Not sure how Wilson was to blame for the goal?
Was saying to my Dad as we left the ground it didn't even feel like they even really went for the win. They were happy for a 0-0 but got the free kick in a decent area and managed to grab one. They were still in game killing mode before that.I'm not even convinced by that to be honest.
He wasn't.
He's in the same boat as Walker & Sheaf though in that their cards are already marked before the game even starts.
That is a very "clichéd" comment... I honestly don't think they did. They were poor, very poor. But they looked like they wanted it more.

And therein lies the problem. With Hamer out there's nothing to step up in his place, the same if O'Hare ever got injured. Even just 2 midfield additions would make a huge difference
Wilson is a lower league journeyman who's only still here because he was content to collect a wage as a backup. Not really comparable to the other two.
exactly this. And both teams looked poor and 1 team had some fortunate decisions and a sloppy goal go their way .. such is life
As things stands all we can do each year is stay in this league in the hope that one day sufficient investment comes to make the leap to consistent top ten finishers with an outside play off chance. Until that happens we will always be a few players short of making that happen. This season is becoming a case in point.
That wasn't the point I was making.

Yep. We need ambition now and we won't get it.Totally agree, and that's on the owners.
People can talk about seizing this opportunity in a poor league but they're the ones that need to do it. If they're not prepared to, sell the fucking club.
To be fair I deleted the post because Grendel pretty much answered the question, and I would have played Allen as well but it just shows how thin on the ground we are for options
And Matt SmithIndeed. 'Depleted' Millwall had Afobe on the bench.
And Matt Smith
That was absolutely their game plan, no doubt. But around the midfield we were second to every lose ball. Our movement was poor, few players calling for the ball, players not moving into space etc. Think we just looked very pedestrian. That is a very "clichéd" comment... I honestly don't think they did.
They couldn't believe their luck that they came up against a team that also were rusty, out of form and severely disjointed performance and preparation wise. They did not really do anything other than a "frustrate them and try to Nick a goal from a set piece" game plan. (Apart from press us a little higher up second half)
I know it wasn't. But there's much more of a valid reason for reacting negatively to Wilson being on the team sheet than the other 2.
Well yes but needs must.
The point is some have blamed him for the goal purely because of who he is when in reality he was blameless.
Much like the guy behind me who berated Walker from the opening minute, it was already decided he was going to be terrible.
He was far better than Godden tonightWould be more than happy to transfer list walker. Can’t stand to see his can’t be arsed body language
Earlier in the season it looked like the officials had been directed to clamp down on time wasting a bit and the added time was actually realistic whereas recently that seems to have gone completely out the window. They were timewasting from the off, the keeper in particular just took the piss countless times and was never so much as spoken to by the ref who was terrible throughout himself. Couldn't believe their luck when an aimless hoof into the box found its way into the 6 yard box.
0-0 would have been accurate, and in itself still a shit result
