And Maine Road of courseTouch of nostalgia, thinking about the stadiums we used to visit... The Dell, Burnden Park, Ayresham Park, Victoria Ground, Roker Park, Fellows Park, Gary Meadow, Eastville, Goldstone, plus few more !

I hated FS, but loved going, always felt nervous as I knew they'd always be trouble!Don't miss Filbert street a right shit hole.
Went to that old Walsall ground to watch Pompey with my old man. Micky Quinn playing for Pompey. David Kelly for Walsall.and the Baseball, Swindon in the rain, Bristol City with no backs on the seats, Walsall with the wind biting off the M6??
nah I'm ok where we are thanks hahahha
Classic architecture that ground, that and Bolton's Burnden Park were beautiful!..and Ayresome Park
Only went once. Got escorted off the coach straight into the ground and the same on the way out. Obviously protecting the Millwall fansAnyone remember the old Den. Now that was a shithole like being in a prison of war camp
Exactly, why can't new stadiums be built like this instead of your new B&Q flat pack design. Goodison is another great stadium, once they move there fans are going to really miss that place after a year same as West Ham.I liked Highbury because I adore art deco architecture.
I have to say Villa Park and Ibrox are fine old fashioned proper grounds that have been modernised.
That was all part of the experience though, you just don't get it at these new grounds.Funny. I remember Ayresome Park being dire and it felt like you were stood in a fuckin hole at the Dell. Still would rather have a HR than a fuckin lazy lifedraining bowl like the Ricoh.
Was that just you?Only went once. Got escorted off the coach straight into the ground and the same on the way out. Obviously protecting the Millwall fans
Wasn’t there a dirty great Normid Superstore stuck in the corner of one of the goal ends.Anyone remember the old Bolton Ground. Went there once and sat in a porter cabin style tiny stand, right behind the goal. Was a cracking view.
the porter cabin was just to the left of the goal, infront of the shop. hahaWasn’t there a dirty great Normid Superstore stuck in the corner of one of the goal ends.
My favourite is about to go Goodison Park. First went there in 1966 for our fifth round cup-tie full house over 60000 good following from us about 10000. Remember sitting opposite where their large double decker stand is and that massive terrace packed to the rafters and bemused by the nuns going round the track with their upside down brollys collecting money a
throwing sweets into the crowd i assume Everton mints.
Also liked the old Old Trafford new one is totally different that old Stretford End with the little stand at the back just echoed noise, first time there was a night game 1967 6400 mostly standing Georgie Best at his best in a 4-0 hammering.
Its not so much the 'off the shelf' stadia that is common place now, it's the half completed redeveloped grounds that haven't been finished for a variety of reasons that I don't like.Exactly, why can't new stadiums be built like this instead of your new B&Q flat pack design. Yes the seats at the back of the Stretford end, wooden benches. A total throwback to another age.My favourite is about to go Goodison Park. I assume you mean Gay Meadow.Touch of nostalgia, thinking about the stadiums we used to visit... The Dell, Burnden Park, Ayresham Park, Victoria Ground, Roker Park, Fellows Park, Gary Meadow, Eastville, Goldstone, plus few more !
No! As far as I know it was every coach that we took. Herded into a car park and ‘funnelled’ into the ground by the boys in blue. I was young and full of spunk at the time, but I was never going to take on the entire Millwall fan base on my own. Maybe with a palWas that just you?
I’d planned to take them all on this season at their manor...bloody lockdown saving them from my dukes! Cant be bothered now...No! As far as I know it was every coach that we took.
