I live in Canada now and have been here for around eight years and never comitted to really going and being a "secondary supporter" for my local team here Toronto in the MLS, go figure they've won the league in the time I've been here but I go and start watching them in there worst season ever 34 games, 4 wins, 10 draws and 20 hard L's absolutely woeful would be an understatement they have Lorenzo Insigne playing like Jason Bent, gets in more drama than he does minutes on the field and for an ex Napoli player he's shockingly shit but has some sensational prime moments, then you've got Federico Bernardeschi in the team from Inter Milan playing with League Two standard players it's a whacky league.
So given that... I bought a season ticket for this year as it's our off season and so it's a good way to hang out with expats and get a fill of "football" in the off season, but this year has been a comedy fest in the MLS. I bought my season ticket for $560 and have sold two tickets that have paid for my season ticket... Ticketmaster here let's you resell your season ticket games and I sold my Toronto vs Inter Miami ticket for $485, I'm dying it'll be the end of the season and Messi and Suarez will most likely not even be playing!
But that's not the comedy... the fans here are willingly all over the MLS buying these inflated ticket prices... I've seen some prime seating go for 3 grand a seat at Toronto which is cheap... LA we're selling tickets at 6 grand a seat. So a few teams have played Inter Miami and the fans show up for Messi and Suarez and neither of them are on the pitch and they've literally forced their teams hand complaining about another team not selecting Messi or Suarez to play and have asked for refunds... can you imagine that in England, comedy gold! Vancouver Whitecaps have given their fans free gift cards and tickets to games and gave in, I have no clue why... they literally hit their record attendance of 50,000+ this weekend playing Inter Miami so put the numbers together with them ticket prices, the MLS teams must love Inter Miami forking his wages and they cash in some easyyyyyy money!!!
