Moise Kean Racism (1 Viewer)

Lad was getting racist abuse, he scores and stands there holding his arms up to their fans.

Bonucci, his teammate says the blame is 50-50 and he shouldn't have celebrated like that.

Bullshit, the lad was getting racist abuse. (not just normal jeers you would expect from normal people). Him standing there with his arms out is nothing in comparison, he should have shhd them, cupped his ear and shagged all their mums and sent them photos of it happening.

Any teammate who tries to spin that is nonsense. Should side with his teammate instantly on things like that, not excuse the monkey chants.

It's getting ridiculous now. The governing bodies need to start bringing in huge penalties for any proof of racism. I don't care if it's one bloke in 60,000 they should have huge fines, points deducted, be made to play behind closed doors and banned from European competition.

See if they do it again then.

Exactly, the punishment just isn't strong enough for it.

As soon as games are forced to be behind closed doors and clubs lose money and there are massive fans then they might start doing something about it properly.

Don't punish the club or idiots will be doing it at rival teams. Punish the idiots doing it with proper convictions and custodial sentences. You couldn't get away with it on the streets and it should be no different in football grounds. Plenty of CCTV but other fans need to take a stance and plenty around will have heard. Long custodials and it will stop in a heartbeat. More importantly though, what kind of moron is still doing it in 2019? Education needs to play a key part too.

Easy enough to ascertain if it's someone from another club. If they do it then the club they support gets the punishment. Prison times should also obviously be part of it but the problem in football is the pack mentality so a couple start it and then it just becomes a chant, half the crowd might even not know that a monkey noise, for instance, is racist. If the club was due a massive punishment when it occurs then if any idiot started you'd expect fans around to shut them up and get them kicked out immediately. Self policing of it needs to be encouraged.

Anyone who doesn't know a monkey noise is racist must have been living in a cave!

It is OK saying to self police but what do they want to happen? Should other fans be expected to jump in and make it stop or is it down to the stewards? If it's an instant ban for violence at a football match is that going to put somebody off confronting a bellend monkey chanting in case it kicks off and they get banned?

How can it be reported instantly? Do they still do the text thing so you can report somebody being a twat?

That's the sort of thing I'm on about, if someone next to you starts it tell them to shut up, if it kicks off go get a steward, if you don't feel safe then text a twat. More likely to happen if you were going to see a 15 point deduction or something if it doesn't stop.

Bonucci sounds like a bit of a tosser, saying something like that. Hugely misjudged, and does nothing to help.

The people giving the racism are obviously c*nts, it puts others in an awkward situation. If somebody is pissed up doing it and a bloke is at the game with his kid does he confront them himself or should there be a simple way to tell the stewards what is going on?

There needs to be better systems in place for reporting it, there used to be something at the Ricoh but I'd have no idea how other than physically going to the steward now.

We were at Brighton v City FA Cup match last season and a lad with 2 mates behind us was giving it large to the Brighton player's and fan's using homophobic language, I turned around and just said "really, big man?"
He piped down then his Neanderthal mates started up and he restarted too, absolute bellends.
We were pissed off with this behaviour and started to lose my cool, so we left (missing JCH's goal in the process).
On the way out I told a steward and he just shrugged his fuckin shoulders saying "nothing I can do, it happens"
Very disappointed in the stewarding., as he could have thrown them out and reported them.

Unfortunately certain areas of the world are still stuck in the Stone Age. The incident is bad enough in itself but the reaction after makes it even worse. Play games behind closed doors. If it happens again it should mean points or relegation.
