Clearly with such little support at Sixfields, then all those fans that normally attend the Ricoh for their Saturday afternoon fix will have money in the bank instead?

So in theory then, a few more of those people may decide to spend it on the odd road trip to away games they would not have considered before? That should bump up the away support further.

How many of you have now decided to watch a few games away because you are not spending it at the Ricoh?

No games at all for me. They take the mountain away from Mohammed, Mohammed's not chasing the mountain to Carlisle. That kinda works.

I'm much less likely to go to an away game this season than a normal season. My plan is not to go to another game with SISU in charge and I hope I'm able to achieve that. The Blaze will get my money I think.

The biggest obstacle to away support will be that SISU get a percentage of away ticket sales. If the home club are selling to Cov fans then that would see a massive away support.

I'll be looking for an away game that gives nothing to Sisu. Need my fix.

At the very least Ill be going to Wolves with an old work colleague, but plan to do four or five this season. Doesn't sound like much but I never do away games normally.

Buy away tickets direct from the away team. I do. It's not difficult. No money to Sisu.

Ice Hockey does actually run under a franchise model doesn't it? What actually happened with the move from Solihull, was it against the fans wishes or were they moving to be able to play at a higher level with better facilities? Didn't a team from Milton Keynes move to Solihull to replace them?

Yes I'm not a huge fan of the owners of the Blaze not that I can particularly even remember why as it's been a few years since we had a season ticket there, I always felt as a disabled fan we were getting a bit of a bum deal and I was never a fan of how the league was run but they will get my money because it's the local sport team I enjoy watching most after the City.

I don't have any particular moral issue with franchise sport.

Is exactly why I don't count ice hockey in this country as a 'sport' as we know it.

No tradition, no concept of building your team up through merit, is just whoever pays the most cash to have the team there at any one time.

Is the spectacle ahead of the competition.

The good thing about the Blaze is that they're home grown, they weren't uprooted from their original home to play 10-15 miles away.

What's your point? would I be friends with someone who cheated on their partner sure (though I wouldn't agree with it) but would I be friends with someone who had cheated on me? no.

Isn't it more like going out with someone with a history of cheating vs breaking up with someone who cheats on you.

We are getting off topic again. I was trying to guage the feeling among folks who are being starved of their football 'at home' and whether they will consider more away games as an alternate as they are not spending it at the Ricoh?

My brother, a season ticket holder for a lifetime has now decided he will do just that and take his grand kids as a treat, something they would not otherwise had done. On that basis how many others are thinking the same and will we see an increase in the away support because of it?

I had a season ticket and went to 4 league away games last season, already planned to go to 8 this season and possibly one or two more.

Two weeks into the season but already missing my Saturday afternoon fix, so now we are planning to do some away games instead. Used to go to quite a few away games at one time as well as having a ST for all the home games, but work commitments soon put paid to that. Now that SISU have put paid to our going to the "home" games, it is back to the "aways".
