Didn't realise you would miss me so much and not overly fussed by Saturdays result as realistically i expected the thrashing to be worse than it was, 5th/6th placed team against probably 3rd best team in the league

Surely you must be concerned that the current wasps squad looks weak compared to the opposition? Losing to london Irish who would be considered the favourites for relegation is a clue.Didn't realise you would miss me so much and not overly fussed by Saturdays result as realistically i expected the thrashing to be worse than it was, 5th/6th placed team against probably 3rd best team in the league

ProbablyIs your name Steve?
No not really concerned yet as it's only 2 games in, if we are still 11th after 6 or 7 games then yes it would start to get a bit of a worry.Surely you must be concerned that the current wasps squad looks weak compared to the opposition? Quite common, even with the worst dross. Often the opposition decide to have a bit of defence practice.I’ve (unfortunately) caught bits of both Wasps matches so far, as they’ve both been on Sky. Whilst they have indeed been second best in both matches, they’ve had decent periods of pressure in both matches too.
If the RFU let Wasps move into a city that already had a first class and historic rugby club then I can’t see them objecting because they are close to another team’s catchment area. Perhaps Worcester’s status as a Premier League club will hold more sway than Coventry’s then lowly third division position did 5 years ago. You can tell it still rankles that the RFU let them move into our city.I put a polite note on The Wasps Report twitter account (when they were crowing about their amazing new training ground news) to say that it would not be straightforward as its within the West Mids Green belt and also that Sports England (via Secretary Of State) may want to call in any planning application on grounds of potential loss of community/commercial sports centre. I was straight away blocked outright. A very sensitive bunch !
Can't believe Worcester RFC are exactly thrilled with its location just over 3 miles from the Worcestershire County boundary edge as could affect recruitment of youngsters etc.
If it gets off the ground its going to be at least 18 months before its up and running - what league will they be in by then !!!
Just looked at the valuation report, they've only published the executive summary which arrives at the £51m figure with no working. It refers to a license agreement with CCFC which of course no longer exists and in any event at the point of the report only had months left.
One of the early valuations, might even have been the first one, made it very clear that the valuation was done on the basis of information supplied by Wasps. Given that they later were found to have given false information relating to their accounts you have to wonder about the accuracy.Just looked at the valuation report, they've only published the executive summary which arrives at the £51m figure with no working. Has anyone noticed the daily Ricoh Return snippets the telegraph keep running - trying their hardest to destabilise us aren’t they
so I work with somebody who lives in London , and has zero affiliation to CCFC or Wasps - except her sister in law is high up in Saracens
When I mentioned yesterday, that I will be delighted when Wasps are gone - she said that the rumours at Saracens are that they are looking to go back down south, and mentioned the MK rumour again
so no idea if anything in it but just hoping!
MK would make perfect sense tbh. I am amazed they didn't go there rather than Cov initially.
Bletchley and Milton Keynes (nee Wolverton) for two. Olney is about 10 miles up the road and is thriving (and Rowland Winter's dad is heavily involved). The nearest clubs of 'semi pro' status are Ampthill and Bedford, both maybe 15 miles or so, as are both Leighton Buzzard and Towcestrians, and of course Northampton Saints are fairly close (20 ish).Presumably coventry’s long established rugby fan base had something to do with it. I may be wrong but don’t think any of Milton Keynes towns/villages have established rugby teams.

Luton RFC's perhaps a little further.
I'm sure there are others.
None are as far as the Ricoh is from Lunnun...
Pah. I wouldn't, certainly, and I don't know too many that would. I know quite a few Tigers and Saints fans and not one would go to watch Wasps.Out of interest, do Rugby fans go to watch any Rugby generally? Like would a Saints/Tigers fan go and watch Wasps?
I always got the impression most Rugby fans are there for the sport of Rugby, rather than the team itself like with football.
I will only go watch wasps in a non saints game if its a day on the beer with the lads, free tickets or I fancy watching the opposition play.Pah. I wouldn't, certainly, and I don't know too many that would. I know quite a few Tigers and Saints fans and not one would go to watch Wasps.
In my time watching rugby live (53 years), I've been to perhaps four non-Cov games, and all of them were when I've been given tickets/hospitality (AKA The Wasps Disease).
There are some who class themselves as 'rugby fans' rather than fans of a particular club, but from my experience, not that high a percentage.

I play rugby, we have a few wasps supporters amongst us, we only tend to go to the christmas one and have it as our Christmas social
Plenty of other places to have a beer

Its disgusting. Only made worse by the fact the likes of our Trust, Telegraph and CWR will stand around applauding them while they do it.So far, they were going to turf out the CCFC Academy from the Higgs, they turfed CCFC out from the Ricoh. They turfed out an archery club at Old Leamingtonians and now this.
Vile club, their approach to PR is as bad as SISU's.
Not surprised their up the councils arses, never known a council to want t shaft their own football club it’s a disgraceYeah, the telegraph are strangely going OTT with Ricoh stuff trying to whip up a frenzy.
