They were granted an option to apply for planning for a hotel they were going to build as it was needed for city of culture.I think WASPS have/ had an option on the land that has been extended in to next year to achieve planning
Playing devils advocate here, maybe the other hotel was rejected because the planning committee was taking this hotel into account?
I mean I’m all for Wasps bashing, but this has been in place for a while
Yeah, I get that but if the council have thrown their lot in with Wasps, they’re working on the assumption that it will be built. It's a car park full of lorries, I don't think that counts as a hotel
Surely you take things into account when they are actually built?
I think I'm right in saying they don't have a lease at all on car park c, that still belongs to the council. They were given an option of a lease if they got planning permission to build a hotel approved by November. So they had a 150 year lease that required WASPS to
get planning by November 2019 - which they miss

Land owner over the road says well I will build a hotel on my land then
Oh no you wont say CCC, and give WASPS another 3 months to get their planning and retain the 150 year lease
Not sure doesn't seem to have the room there then again have heard chiquitos is struggling...Is that going by the Frankie and Bennies?
Don't forget the cockroaches that infest the bathroom and the insects breeding in the air con system! If it gets built just give feedback on trip advisor it’s a dump where the rats wear overalls it’s that bad and job done.
Any chance of shifting this thread over to the "Ricoh row" forum? It's got bugger all to do with football...It's a little bit silly now isn't it? how do they get away with it?
Apologies for the late reply but had a little trip to China to deal with, taken apart by a far superior team, this was the first game i've watched that would make me think we are in trouble, half decent team put out but totally out played in every department.@peaches and cream any thoughts on today’s hammering ?
See youse have stopped kidding yourselves with the attendances now and have resorted to not opening the stands behind the goalsApologies for the late reply but had a little trip to China to deal with, taken apart by a far superior team, this was the first game i've watched that would make me think we are in trouble, half decent team put out but totally out played in every department.

I wonder what PWKH thinks to the Higgs stand being closed if it is?
How very , very self indulgent of you, but why are you posting on this thread ? Haven't you got lots of friends elsewhere you could discuss this with ? No one on here cares one jot about Wasps at all.Apologies for the late reply but had a little trip to China to deal with, taken apart by a far superior team, this was the first game i've watched that would make me think we are in trouble, half decent team put out but totally out played in every department.
Not if they put all the people with free tickets in that stand. On gates of average 18k with say 3k average in the Higgs Stand, that should be a donation of £30k or so every season
What's that Roger?should we be annoyed that a hotel is being built, creating jobs and keeping people in the city ?
What's that Roger?
Needs to be back in the side ASAP my thread said. Any more?shouldn't you be somewhere blaming robins for leaving out last seasons top scorer who was ill ?

You don't leave out last season's top scorer when you're not scoring enough.
Like their training ground?should we be annoyed that a hotel is being built, creating jobs and keeping people in the city ?
Like their training ground?
Not close enough to this hotel proposal,
does it impact other local businesses ?
Another hotel? Bore off you weirdo
Eh ? Genuinely don’t get your need for simply being an arse sometimes.
Back on block you go, can’t be bothered with it.
Think that was just thrown in for the purpose of the media, never been anything concrete. Wasps still haven't applied for even outline planning consent for it.I thought that Wasps originally committed to developing the land and was one of the key points in the council's decision to do a deal with Wasps. Came out from that "behind closed doors" council meeting that no-one wanted to discuss - commercial confidentiality etc.
Sounds like Eastwood should have said ‘we’re in financial ruin because the move up north hasn’t paid off and we need cov to come home so they can help us out financially’
