I'm currently sat in Kuwait Airport waiting to fly to Oman.

I love travelling, however, this is now my second time in Kuwait and I am struggling to find one redeeming feature.

If anyone is considering it for a little weekend get away I would seriously reconsider. :D

Ever been to Bahrain?

My neice moved out there to start a new life 3 months ago. Gave up her job here, sold her house, gave away her beloved cat.

She now wants to come back home, so is returning at the end of October.

Oh, and what's wrong with Kuwait?

Not yet but can't imagine it will be too much longer until I'm sent there.

Have to say I had guests over from Bahrain last month and have met another couple out here and they are really good people who seem to know what they want and there's no BS with them! Don't think there is anywhere in the Middle East that I would want to move to long term but I have to say my favourite so far has been, of all places, Beirut!!

Kuwait just has nothing about it Otis. The people aren't rude (well apart from a security chap at the airport today but that is a different story) but also aren't really friendly. You can't really walk around and see anything and the main thing there is to do is go to the Mall. Which is full of shops like Marks and Spencers. No real vibe, no restaurants really it is just very, very dull.
