We were on MOTD2 tonight as one of only 13 clubs (now 14 with Villa) relegated from the PL who have never returned.

There's been 47 clubs in total and only 6 have never been relegated: Arsenal, Chelsea, Everton, Liverpool, Manchester United, and Tottenham Hotspur.

Do Bournemouth not count as they can't have been relegated

I take it means those that were part of the Premier League formation in 1992.

Edit: just saw the 47 clubs bit. Yes I would expect Bournemouth to be in that list however they aren't technically mathematically safe yet.

Yep, if it was top division, so the old 1st Division, then that list of those never out of the top flight certainly wouldn't include Man Utd as they were relegated in the 70's.

Before City were relegated from the Prem.

Only Arsenal since 1919, Liverpool & Everton 1960's were ever present in the top flight.

Only Arsenal and Everton from that list have never been in the lower leagues, or relegated

Both have been, although you have to go back a century in Arsenal's case.

Everton should have gone down when they came back to beat Wimbeldon I think it may have been 3v2 after being 2v0 down

They are part of the 14 clubs that have been relegated since 1992 and have never returned.

Without checking:

Coventry
Villa (included for the list of 14)
Bolton
Blackburn
Leeds
Sheffield Weds
Sheffield United
Swindon
Barnsley
Oldham
Bradford
Blackpool
Ipswich

Last one:
Wimbledon?

Portsmouth are in, you need to lose 4 from your original list and add 3.

Sheffield Utd went back up for that one season where Neil Warnock blamed West Ham signing Tevez on everything.
