Mowbray has warned Stokes and Martin their places are under thread due to Johnson coming back and we can't afford silly mistakes. I like how he has noticed there were mistakes and isn't proud of them for it.
“Even if we didn’t play well in the second half, which we didn’t, we still might have got something from the game. We can’t carry individual errors like that. They have to stop and I have said that to the boys, bluntly. “I like them both because they are honest, hard-working professionals and yet the team, the club, can’t suffer mistake after mistake after mistake. “My philosophy has always been everyone makes mistakes, we’ve all done it and you can ride that. Two mistakes and you start getting a bit nervous. Any more and I think the team is suffering, so don’t knock on my door if you get left out of the side. It’s football – it’s our livelihoods. “So I think that message is there, loud and clear. Of course you have to look at what options you’ve got and I would suggest to both of those lads that Reda Johnson is a week away from playing, and because of his versatility they are both under threat really, which is a good thing for me because it makes them, hopefully, extra focused with their concentration this weekend, if selected.
Gutted he didn't do this statement gladiator style via the radio, telling us how players will be banished from the club and never play for him again! That would have been far more effective
Like what's he's done though. Told the players first and then told us what he's told them, and what he's told is essentially what fans are thinking!

I think you will find what was actually said was Mowbray has warned Stokes and Martin their places are under thread due to Johnson coming back for half a game and we can't afford silly mistakes.
Glad he isn't standing for rubbish anyway, just one minor point I've picked up on. Mowbray was saying last week he wants the defenders to be afraid to makes mistakes, he said before a match he wants the defence to feel that knot in the stomach so they keep there concentration high. Considering the next match was littered with defensive errors was that the right way to go about it?
