The only thing JH pushed that I was against. Totally agree with everything you posted.... On this postIMO there needs to be huge changes in football. I just can't see how the current setup can be sustained. Until there is a setup that removes parachute payments and forces all clubs to be self sustaining football will remain in a mess with numerous clubs struggling to pay the bills.
Personally I'd have a wage cap and floor in each division and fixed squad sizes. If you get promoted and can't afford to pay the wage floor you don't go up, same as if your ground isn't up to standard.
Probably along the same lines as you stating thousands believe every word sisu say. Opinion or fact?Is that a fact? or just your opinion?

Really struggling to understand then.Nobody is saying that mate. But at least they've "Had a go" The chances of doing a Blackpool in the future(Getting to the premier league by spending f**k all) is slimmer than "Flattened roadkill" Which just about sums up our owners
Hmmm. Sorry mate, I get where you're coming from but the TV rights money just proves that they're actually earning what they're worth in the market for the most part. Capping wages would destroy the game. It certainly wouldn't be the same quality we see it as now.Got to remember it was different back then. Players were earning relatively small salaries and club owners were making huge profits. The stars weren't getting the benefits of their performances. Where I agree is that these days it's gone too far the other way, so maybe something needs introducing to keep it in check.

It's idealistic. How would it? If you had a tiered system down the leagues it would mean a) more, if not all teams, running at as self sustaining and b) at the start of every season all clubs have a competitive chance.
Are you struggling to understand "Being one of only 3-4 clubs debt free.. £20m being made ready to take the club forward, and only a few hundred thousand at most being used to buy Dann and Fox, then selling them both 9 months later, remortgaging Ryton for 500k and claiming to be in massive debt, Quoting Ray Ranson" Would you call that "Having a go?"Really struggling to understand then.
Tony seems to be implying that it's only SISU's incompetence that resulted in their initial investment being ineffective, because they invested in the wrong way. My point is that there are so many clubs spunking money away on the off chance that they get in the premier league, that the chances are so low that it's not a good move to do that, both investment wise (i.e. chances of getting a return), but more because of the risk you put on the clubs future.
To which is sounds like your point is that it's okay because they "had a go"? Is that actually a real argument? You'd be happy if we spent millions that we didn't have, despite the huge risk, because at least we've had a go? That's the stupidest thing i've ever heard.
Can't be right....we have the inside track, the man who knows the man in the know...So according to this, TM hasn't even been interviewed?!

You miss the main issue. Football should be about the fan who attends. It isn't. The fan who buys a tv description ultimately as part of a collective, is more important.IMO there needs to be huge changes in football. I just can't see how the current setup can be sustained. Until there is a setup that removes parachute payments and forces all clubs to be self sustaining football will remain in a mess with numerous clubs struggling to pay the bills.

I sponsor the home kit. The clue is in the name Neal. Hodge Clemco is my company.
Pissed off about it as whilst I sponsor RUFC I am City season ticket holder.
My understanding between is TM/MV and Gary Bowyer who gets the job.
You clearly don't get it do you! It's not whether he is going to be manager of RUFC, it's whether any approach by either TM/MV or RUFC took place. THAT is the crux of it!
Problem is you or i will never know the truth if an interview/ meeting has took place or not, it is not in any clubs interest or positive to make statements confirming things on this matter. So if you want to believe, a poster, Anderson or RUFC its up to you as an individual to decide on the truth.
My opinion the game is under handed, crooked and about money, so time will tell us if TM wants to hang around, but if his name keeps getting to the top of shortlist of other vacancies you know that he or his agent are pushing his name around for a move. Bookies do have the inside track, not guaranteed but know more than the punters.
@ Torchy and friends...... If this is true, I've only got three words to say to you...."Face..Egg..On".. (Rearrange)

Why would that be? I think the important words in the sentence are..."If this is true,"...... Words and twist come to mind SBWMWell this could get awkward....

Who cares. As long as this season we finish in at least the top 6 and/or a jpt win at Wembley, then I'll be happy.
I'm sure TM is commited to the cause while he's here.
If everyone's going to have a go.... I will too. That's a fact is it? Where's your proof? Has he told you personally? Did he tuck you up in bed, give you a kiss on the forehead and whisper in your ear, "Don't worry ccfc92, I promise I'll stay manager at CCFC and stay committed to the cause.
It's clear it didn't however hard you try.
They said last week Stubbs was their man from the off. They approached twice before they were allowed to approach.
As for Bawtryneil. Let's be honest - if he's public about his use on here it's fairly obvious what has actually happened - just in case Stubbs said no - let's spread some rumours which impacts the bookmaker, which creates some noise, which puts him in the frame without having to approach at all. As for inside track bookies don't . They are influenced purely by betting patterns - Pressley was a bookies favourite was he not?
