Not taking sides here, but could it be that TM had an informal interview, but not an official one?
Quite often the truth is somewhere in between two polarised sides.

discuss with you the facts around this TM/ RUFC saga
When did I say TM was going? gobshiteI'm not having a go you gobshite
Just saying, if he's here when we kick of the new season, let's just enjoy the season and see if he can deliver this time around.
As much as you're saying he's off etc, there's no point worrying either way. He'll go if he wants. Just like players over the years, enjoy them whilst they're here, but don't expect them to stay.
No as there is no such thing - oh and last week Stubbs was declared as the preferred choice.
Managers don't toddle off and do that - they get the job or they don't.
What is the difference anyway? Stubbs isn't having an interview is he - he's being offered the job.
Or he had a formal interview but it suited all parties to deny it;
Or he had no interview but it suited someone at Rotherham to wind up their sponsor;
Or the Shitfields hating sponsor wanted to wind up Tim Fisher.
Many possible scenarios.
Think it's safe to say we'd all like this however?

See NW's post below.
Don't think you change be so certain, Grendel. Many scenarios possible.
Well looks like your understanding was clearly wrong.

Jock Stein once said to me(Yes! Jock Stein)When I was at Raith, just before injury ended my career "The life of a footballer is a very short lived thing. Managers however, have a longevity where a good living can be had so anything you start you should do you best to finish" He was manager at Celtic for about 12-13 years and Scotland manager from the late 70's for approximately 7-8 years till he died at Ninian park in Cardiff in(I think 1985 or 86).... The essence of that is... "No Loyalty nowadays "
Don't tell them anymore Neal, Just sit back and laughDo you really believe that clubs ask permission to speak with their manager without speaking to the manager or his agent first. Dear oh dear!!! You really do need to get off your computer and get out more.
I expect you believe in Father Christmas as well
No interview took place, no approach was made. It was a rumour, the rumour was wrong.
No mate, at least I don't remember the name, only played half a dozen games and had to retire with cruciate injury, never played football (Competitive) again. Not at all my friend.
When you were at Raith did you play with a guy called Joe Hughes.
Dear Grendel
I hope you are enjoying yourself with all your aggresion and smart arse comments
I would welcome the opportunity to discuss with you the facts around this TM/ RUFC saga. On what basis are you such an expert on all things CCFC,football, how managers are recruited, agents etc etc.
Pray tell.
Best regards
BawtryNeal
Another expert !!!

Go on tell us who?If in doubt, make up a rumour to cover your back (not you Neal)
Think it's time for a glass of Pinot
Good job we are all on the same side on this site. Would hate to think of all the grief if we were all Villa fans
No I don't. However the Rotherham chairman stated he would not do that. He said that there are two managers employed he was interested in but would do it the proper way.
So basically what you are saying is this guy is a liar which is odd as he and his staff seem to have happily told even some bloke who sponsors a shirt that they were doing exactly what they are said they aren't.
Accusing someone of lying is very serious. I hope you have the facts in order.
Then we'd all be on the same side on that site wouldn't we?
Well you are calling me a liar Grendel, so hope you have your facts in order.
:angelic:Not really just going off the actual evidence. The club said no approach, no word from Rotherham either. Notice how when they approached Stubbs they made a statement saying that had done so. Anyway I'm not here to argue online, you're the one who said stated something that was not correct.
Has it? Really! No I'm not. I'm saying you revealed information from a source which proved to be incorrect.
Has it? Really!
No, I'm not related to Neal. I hate "Pack Mentality" (One reason I was told why the Telegraph forum closed down) as shown on this forum on a regular basis. All I'm going to say is truth will come outAre you related to Neal? Or is there another reason why you've been religiously defending him on this thread?

It's clear it didn't however hard you try.
They said last week Stubbs was their man from the off. They approached twice before they were allowed to approach.
As for Bawtryneil. Let's be honest - if he's public about his use on here it's fairly obvious what has actually happened - just in case Stubbs said no - let's spread some rumours which impacts the bookmaker, which creates some noise, which puts him in the frame without having to approach at all. As for inside track bookies don't . They are influenced purely by betting patterns - Pressley was a bookies favourite was he not?
It's like believing that clubs doing such questionable acts would inform their shirt sponsor first.Do you really believe that clubs ask permission to speak with their manager without speaking to the manager or his agent first. Dear oh dear!!! You really do need to get off your computer and get out more.
I expect you believe in Father Christmas as well
