Must win game ...... for Bristol? (1 Viewer)

Thinking about this this morning and looking at the next two fixtures to come for both sides after Monday, the City have Burnley and Millwall and Bristol have Birmingham and West Ham.

You would have to think we would be a lot more confident of getting points against our next two opponents than Bristol will over theirs.

Draw will be good for us ....... now thinking it is a must win for Bristol though rather than for us.

Pressure is on them more so than us I think, especially with them being at home and their fans will be demanding a win.

Draw will be fine for us and with that in mind and Bristol pushing forwards, we may well be able to catch them on the break and bag all three points.

Only happy with a win otherwise we are presuming too much again. Like how we would be 4 points clear of them by today :(. We are just as capable of dropping points once the nerves kick in than they are

Well, yes, I agree, but do you concur with the fact that Bristol must see this as a must-win game with Brum and West Ham to come next for them? Their next two games on paper look a lot tougher than ours.

If we had Brum and West Ham next I would say we were all but gone and i wouldn't be exoecting anything more than a single point from those two games.

Going on recent form and yesterday's attacking positives, I think we can win it - even with our atrociously poor away record...

I hope you're right Otis. I wasn't at the game yesterday so can't really tell if we were good bad or just mediocre, but let's just hope Britol don't get on a roll. I do know I watched them on Sky and thought they were so so lucky...and we were so unlucky I hear...so, the unknown luck factor can go either way....

We were poorish in the first half, but second half we took the game to them and went close on a number of occasions to making it 3-1.

Overall it wasn't a bad performance at all.

Think yesterday was one of our best performances, one mistake in the whole game cost us the 3 points even though it wasn't a corner to start with (linesman was a nightmare all game)!!!

We have done well over the last month we need to maintain that form, and I think we will!!! Brizzle to me is a must not loose game, though you can say every game is a must win game....

I think it is a massive game, it needn t have been if things had gone better yesterday but huge for both clubs

Yes it's a game we must not lose. 3 winnable games follow so we have to focus on setting the team up not to concede.

As long as someone actually puts the bloody ball between the sticks!! We've been hitting the woodwork far too often lately!

Scored 2 in each of the last 3 games mind. 2 goals per game not enough for you Houch?;)

I was there we were very good and very unlucky. A bloke crosses the ball and ends up scoring. We hit the woodwork 3 times. We had most of the possession. Our downside was switching off at a corner.

If that same game was played 10 times with the same possession and shots we would win 7 out of 10 times IMO

TBH I see Pompey as more of a threat to our survival than Bristol City. Pompey's run in is alot easier and they got a very good away point yesterday

Pompey are 5 points behind though. That's quite a gap. They have Millwall at home next and lately Millwall have beaten Peterborough 3-0 at Peterborough, beaten Burnley 3-1 at Burnley and beaten Donny 3-0 at Donny.

Tough game for Pompey on Tuesday for sure.

Last game they have Forest away too, so Forest may well need points out of that game. Not that easy a run I don't think.

Lets hope we don t underestimate millwall ourselves

Millwall is a game I had us down for a draw. Think they will be tough.

My thinking though is if we can get a draw tomorrow and then a draw at Burnley and a draw against Millwall we could well find ourselves above Bristol, who have those two very tough games to come.
