A simple 11th hour plea not to sell to WASPS.
I recognise that the current owners of CCFC have acted appallingly regarding your charity and the way they have treated the Coventry fans but in my opinion leaving the football (regardless of who owns them) no opportunity of getting a stake in the Ricoh I fear condemns us to lower league / non-league football for the foreseeable future.
Do you have to sell ? Why not keep them. Hopefully a change of ownership may if possible allow you to sell to more amenable people.

As is common knowledge the Trustees received an offer for their shares from Wasps and asked the Joint Liquidators of CCFC Ltd if they wished to make an offer for those shares. The Joint Liquidators have made an offer and the Trustees will consider it. They will take advice and when finally satisfied as to the course of action that is in the best interests of the Charity they will make their decision. That decision, by law, will be in the best interests of the Charity. The Trustees have to separate their personal feelings from the decisions they make as Trustees. They certainly will not make any decision deliberately to harm or help any private business: they will decide solely in line with the objectives of the Charity.
As the Trustees have made no decision at this time I can add little more.

If the objectives of the charity are to help the people of Conventry then there can be only two of the three options open. 1) keep the shares (wont happen because we know they want to sell) 2) release the shares to CCFC. There is no way the option 3) release the shares to Wasps can be seen as in line with any charitable objectives and will be done solely for the benefit of a private business.

If Wasps had offered more money we would already have had a decision.if wasps offer more money then as a charity they would be stupid not to accept
But the fans of CCFC are in the majority the people of Coventry and that is the charitable aim to help the people of Coventry. The current fans of Wasps are from London and surrounding areas so hardly local. But is CCFC not a private Business and are Wasps not now a local club trying to help the locals? So it can go ether way

It's about helping the local economy not fans. So if anything fans from outside bringing money in is better than us having to spend it ourselves.
But are charitable efforts all about making money. Do you think the person living in a council house in Foleshill is going to actually benefit from a top flight rugby club being here? Go and look at the area around Wembley. Old Trafford or Anfield...I don't see the residents all driving round in bentleys just the players.I've said before, if you take us out of it (Cov fans) and Cov RFC fans. Bringing a massive top level rugby team into the city can only be a good thing. Money money money.
Surely ccfc getting the other half has to benefit wasps anyway. Shared income yes but a big football entity with them and more sponsors, negotiation power with naming rights and advertising. More opportunities more income to share. I think it would really work. Not as much for wasps to plough into the Ricoh. Many many positives to selling to ccfc
In a sensible world that would be true.
In our world, instead of putting ourselves forward as enthusiastic potential business partners, we're "imminently" going to announce the purchase of the land for our new stadium.
Yes that's true. Our owners don't help with this "new stadium" I can only think they are still saying this to scare wasps in thinking they will go if they have to rent off them and obviously wasps want ccfc to stay as its just an obvious thing to have us there. It has to be better.
One positive and I am clutching at straws I know but the bid was made by us 7-8 days ago and nothing yet of it turned down so if they wanted to surely they would of by Now?

They can get those benefits with CCFC being tenants, with the added bonus of not having to share the income. If Wasps think they can make money, there is no reason why they would want other shareholders involved.

Sick of hearing a million and one suppositions for this situation. Does anyone know when a decision will be made so we can move on to the next round of bullsh*t?
Possibly, or given SISU's track record all parties are attempting to dot every i and cross every t, in advance of the court case.....

The plea needs to be made to Wasps
As I have always said if SISU are serious they should bid very high. With proof of funds. so the Charity legally have to accept the offer.
Make it as public as can be so a campaign starts.
The campaign would be a swell of pressure on wasps not to veto so a children's charity gets a lot of money and a football club survives.
If SISU have bid big then they should make it public. The wasps bid is public knowledge
Where is it public knowledge?
But is CCFC not a private Business and are Wasps not now a local club trying to help the locals? So it can go ether way
The charity may have devalued their shareholding by giving Wasps the casting vote the converting their shareholding to a minority one. If they cannot show a valid reason for this I cant see how they can explain this decision.
No they're not a local club.
