Wake up and smell the coffee Sisu !

Coventry City Football Club Limited is in administration -- it's laughable that SISU is now trying to by-pass the Administrators to suggest negotiating with ACL directly.
Wake up and smell the coffee, SISU... no one wants you ! ACL, Higgs, the Council, the Supporters don't want you ! No one trusts you enough now to negotiate with you.. you've had it !

Now, I am not one for conspiracy theories, but any chance that the administrator will appear before the cameras and peel off his face to show Tim Fisher

Think about it, they havent been seen in the same room and Fisher has gone very quiet.

Joy was spotted watching Scooby Doo in the Ricoh exec box !

ACL Issue Statement
Arena Coventry Limited have issued a statement tonight following SISU/Coventry City FC (Holdings) saying that they want a negotiated solution to the Ricoh Arena rent row.
According to Free Radio's Darryl Murphy, ACL have said that they can only negotiate with Coventry City's administrator Paul Appleton.
"As far as ACL is concerned, as far as The Football League is concerned and as far as the Football Association is concerned, Coventry City is in administration.
"All negotiation can only happen via the football club's Administrator.
ACL is focusing its efforts on working with the Administrator to help the Sky Blues exit administration and play at the Ricoh Arena for many years to come."

Ricoh Arena

THE company which owns the Ricoh Arena has rejected Coventry City’s pleas for fresh negotiations.
The Sky Blues’s owners had requested fresh talks over getting hold of matchday revenues for the stadium with the club lying in administration.
But Arena Coventry Ltd (ACL) - owned by Coventry City Council and the Alan Higgs charity - insists it can now only deal directly with the administrator.
The latest manoeuvres come with US property tycoon Preston Haskell IV circling over a possible Sky Blues takeover.

The request for talks had been directed personally to Martin Reeves - the council’s chief executive and ACL director.
In response, an ACL spokesman said: “We are aware of CCFC Holdings’ correspondence sent to Martin Reeves.
“However, as far as ACL is concerned, as far as the Football League is concerned and as far as the FA is concerned, Coventry City Football Club is in administration.
“Therefore all negotiation can only happen via the football club’s administrator.
“The ACL board, of which Martin is a member, is focusing its efforts on working with the administrator to help the Sky Blues exit administration to play at the Ricoh Arena for many years to come.”
It follows a bitter legal dispute over £1.3million in unpaid rent between the club’s owners Sisu and ACL. Sisu have refused to pay rent to use the Ricoh claiming it is being overcharged.
It comes after Preston Haskell IV met council leader John Mutton and other key players during Coventry City’s clash with Brentford at the Ricoh Arena on Saturday.
Former vice chairman Gary Hoffman and suspended life president Joe Elliott have written to the administrator on behalf of the property tycoon expressing an interest in buying the club as soon as possible.

People assume the club has to be bought out of administration. If the administrator can re-structure to put it on a sound financial footing can it be taken out of admin by the existing owners?

Maybe it can, but good luck with the gates next season if CCFC remain in the clutches of SISU!

If he does he will need to do a new deal with ACL who I presume would prefer for it to be bought out?

the administrators priority is to ensure an ongoing viable business, if he does not think this is possible he then sells off the assets for maximum return for the creditors. There's nothing to say that SISU can't retain control, what we need to see is the administrators reports which should detail exactly who is owed what. it will hinge on the money SISU have put in and if this has been written off or not. If it hasn't then I feel SISU are in the driving seat as being the majority creditor they can sink any CVA meaning another points deduction next season.
