Good facilities help you attract, retain and develop players of/to a higher standard though surely? I don't want to start an owner-bashing on this thread but i do find it a bit odd that we have a 3rd party (Overson) who seems to prop up the training side of things that you'd expect the owners to be footing the bill for really.Facilities do look low-key but money spent on facilities is money not available for the playing budget

In the 2000s Pompey had some world class players. Their training ground was one up from the portakabins I used to have playing for Stoke Heath Rangers.Player's sign for the wages not the training ground.
