Also heard a guy in the naughty corner a few games back saying Juke is lazy and O'Donovan should play in his place as he works harder. Just don't get how people come to these conclusions.

Because they are thick and don't understand teamwork

To defend Best's goalscoring record, he was often played as the lone man in that awful 4-5-1 that was couple with Coleman's negative tactics. You can't really accuse him of missing hatfuls of chances let alone getting good service.

Until such time as we can be so choosy with gate sizes to task any potential attendees with a short exam of common sense before permitting entry, there's always the risk of a thick coont getting in and verbalising the product of his troubled mind

Too bad Marlon backstabbed us. He had "it" - just like Hucks and Dion back in the days.

We were never a side under any of the SISU managers that created that many chances anyway. Or under Dowie. So Best did well when he started to find the net. King was immense. He didn't allow SISU to shaft him, we unfortunately have no choice.

Cisse signed for Newcastle, Should we be expecting a loan signing within the next few days then?

King showed exactly why we've been so poor for so long including Best. Not only skill and composure but intelligent running and workrate. Those are attributes Best will never learn.

Watched King play for Brmingham against Millwall at the weekend. Scored two and set-up two more. Truly a class and more above anything we've had since Dublin. Easily

Saw the highlights, he was the best player on the pitch. Vision, technique and composure. Of course, all attributes that he lacked on a certain non-footballing evening, but y'know..beggars can't be choosers. And there are beggars that look upon CCFC with a sense of pity and guilt that they've got it so good compared to us...

In the Cheery Tree few months back when Best was bossing the game for Newcastle & some bloke was still insisting Best was the worst player ever to pull on a sky blue shirt!

Loan signing from Newcastle likely to be delayed until early Feb as they have both Demba Ba and now Cisse tied up with the Africa Cup games.

I wouldn't hold my breath, SISU have already broke the bank bringing two in. When was the last time we brought 3 in in 1 window?

Sisu won't want a dent, a scratch or even a slight scuff in the Lukas money!

I also read today that Alan Smith could be loaned to MK Dons, and they'll only need to pay around £3k of his wages.

Is that an unrealistic ask for us? He has played alot of games in Midfield and might the attacking presence we need in Midfield....

Smith is awful these days. I know a Newcastle season ticket holder is uses the phrase "Alan Smith" as anything that is deemed extemely awful.

"That SISU seem to be doing an Alan Smith job of keeping you in the division."

fair do's! Ive not seen him play in a long time in fact the article says hes not started a competitive game in 12 months, so prob isnt what we need. He'd be another player who says he needs a decent pre season before we see the proper him!

We use in our house "I'm having a Kevin Kyle' if were've screwed up. Slightly dramatic when you set light to kitchen...i mean Kevin Kyle was a lot worse than a kitchen ablaze....

Leon Best was probably the most underrated player we've had in the last 10 years.

Could probably add Adebola as a close second to that.

Senegal are out of the African Nations. Think they have a group game left though.

Ooh Adebola!! I cant believe the critisism he got in his first season with us! He was never brought in to be banging the goals in week in week out, but in typical. CCFC fan fashion, fans expected alot more from him that he could offer. Our season definately ended after we let him go to Bristol in the January, all because we wouldnt offer him more than a 1 yrs contract. Another example of us losing a good player because of our shit negotiation skills

Adebola was shit!!! He didnt know what his legs were doing so no1 else had a chance. Adebola would rather go & sit on a bench anyway like he has at his last few clubs

I'm not so sure-his hold up play was pretty good, and he did pretty well leading the line by himself a fair bit of the time. Won't forget that epic goal at Blackburn
