I am looking forward to seeing how the likes of David Bell, Chris Hussey and Jukebox perform this season.
I believe they were all signed on Andy Thorn's recommendation? However, they haven't set the place alight, but the big difference is they will now be playing for a manager who has shown faith in them, and has made them feel wanted. You can't underestimate the difference feeling wanted and valued as a player can make. A good player can look poor when he knows he isn't the managers 1st choice, or he isn't allowed to express himself.
David Bell in particular seems to divide opinion. You can see clearly he has ability, but playing for Boothroyd the game seemed to pass him by. This season however, I believe he will star, and the supporters won't be split any longer.
We will have a new system of play, a new style of play, and the players already here who we haven't always rated I believe will be like new players under the Thorn leadership.
Bell will be pretty amazing this season,,,, I really cant believe what im reading, i respect and admire the optimism,, but surely when reality kicks in we are bound to see alot of angry cov fans around the place.
Bell will not last the season he didint last pre season never mind league games!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry to be negative but i have never felt so worried about a season as this one...
It doesn't really matter what style of play we play and who it suits, if you don't have people up front who can put the ball in the old onion bag. We're going to be very goal shy this season without a couple of 'new players' up front.

yes but thinking about it marlon king didn't score a lot in the first halfof the season and we still one a lot more games and when he did play after his late arival and ban's we still lost a lot of matches and drew and it was only the last 10 gameshe improved and scored
I felt sorry and frustrated for David Bell where again some of our previous managers do not use players to their full potential and play them out of position or expect box to box capability.
DB is not and never has been a fleet footed winger but in my book possesses superb ball control, shooting ability and intelligent play when played as part of an attacking strategy.
AT has clearly recognised DB's ability which has been mightily apparant during the run in last season and I am sure he will perform again during 2011/2012
Agree with your comments and prospects Kuk other than that haven't set the place alight. I thought all three were a complete revelation at the back end of last season under Thorn and hope it continues into this coming one becasue we are sure as hell likely to need them to.
I think you've picked out three players we will see big improvements from this year as well. Hussey and Juke both had their first proper season last year and as others have said Bell should thrive in this system.
The thing is if a few of our senior players have the kind of season they are capable of we can do anything in this league. The first 11, on form, is a match for any team in this division. It won't happen as that's football, but imagine a team with Eastwood, McSheffrey, Turner, Juke, Clingan and Bell all playing to the best of their ability?
