Perhaps you could post a link thanks
I certainly hope you're right when you say these things are coincidental but it does highlight an issue. Maybe something that needs to be brought to the attention of whoever is in charge of these things?
As the saying goes perception is reality. Those that don't attend will get the impression from that sort of picture that Wasps is sold out every week and nobody is turning up to see us.
Maybe before hitting the publish button there needs to be a few seconds spent thinking about what impression any article, picture etc could give.
Was the same on twitter during this weeks match. If you'd looked at the pictures of the crowd on the Telegraph feed you'd assume there was nobody there. Again it may not be deliberate but it wouldn't be hard to get a picture that makes it look at least vaguely busy if a bit of thought is put in.
Out of interest did you approach Wasps for the interview that led to these articles or did they approach you?
To try and give some more constructive criticism than the Telegraph is shit I think the frustration felt by some is that Wasps can say what they like and it doesn't appear to get challenged whereas when Fisher opens his trap FOI requests are flying in and independent experts being called up.
For example when Wasps published their prospectus they didn't seem to be challenged on the value of the Ricoh lease compared to what they paid for ACL and the 200 year extension. Similarly with the training ground plan, one year on and they've moved to it being in the C&W area with no actual site or any sign of progress at all and its not being built until the self proclaimed richest club in Europe get someone else to pay for it. Seems that Wasps don't get pushed for answers where the football club does.
The glib comments are noted. Keep treating your potential customer base with this approach.
It's a winning style.
Read the article there is no suggestion there was any meeting planned other then in the schedule.
Osb has also suggested this is the likely scenario. Oddly you haven't asked for a link from him
Appreciate criticism in a balanced and constructive way.
Fully agree that more thought and time could go into image choices etc. The harsh reality is this, there are less and less of us all the time. We are under increasing pressure to deliver larger audiences and produce more stories. That means, from time to time, things slip through the net. Hopefully nothing major, but possibly things that unintentionally leave the wrong impression.
I approached Wasps for the latest interview.
I also don't quite accept that we fail to challenge Wasps. If you look back through coverage of the bonds situation, and the move in general, it would be hard to dispute we have offered more challenge than any other outlet. I'd certainly like the time and space to challenge more, but the days of being able to spend weeks on a story are long gone I'm afraid.
And frankly any notion of conspiracy is tiresome and cringeworthy. To start with, there aren't enough of us to conspire! And if we decided to try and organise a mini-conspiracy (although I still don't understand what people think our motives would be) we wouldn't have the time!

Potential customer base? Nobody reads the Telegraph anymore do they?
The reference to Sixfields is out of context. It's scaremongering.
Yes, it's on the accounts because it's got a value but it should only be considered as a lifeboat should ACL fail and there are no takers.
If we ever planned to build a stadium the Ricoh will always be the best option over Sixfields and a 10 year deal (with opt out) is what needs to be pursued. A 10 year rolling deal would be better with some sort of formula for inflation/promotion/crowd numbers built in. In fact I would suspect the the FL would either want to see details of the new ground or a 10 year deal.
It's all gone downhill since they stopped the Pink! Remember queuing up for that every Saturday night, in the days before long opening hours the paper shops used to stay open late until it turned up and there'd be a queue of people waiting for it.
Moved out the city in 92 to head off to uni but every week my Dad would be sent to get it and post it to me along with bits and pieces out the weeks sports pages. He did that until they stopped it.

This is my favourite line: “Bigger crowds means more food and beverages are sold, but it’s not a big chunk of our profitability."
The more we buy at CCFC matches the more Wasps get. Hurrah!
This article might even bring those missing SBT members back.
At the end of the day, just because the CT doesn't have the same *ahem* bee in their bonnet about Wasps that you do, and you know probably wants to stay on good terms with one of the biggest sports teams in the city, doesn't mean it's bias.
If all you've got is a hammer (hatred of Wasps), everything looks like a nail (pro-Wasps conspiracy).
Sometimes it's just a news story.
It would have to be revenue - profit apportionment would be virtually impossible to calculate.
The costs will paid for by the club as match day costs.
Something else to throw into the mix:

I'm going to join the conspiracy theory now. You mention that regular concerts will make sponsorship of the Ricoh more attractive but no mention of CCFC signing a longer-term rental agreement making sponsorship more attractive. I know that there is no deal to reference but it might have been worth pointing out.

A longer CCFC deal would almost certainly increase the attractiveness to a sponsor.
However, Wasps have already secured acts to perform next year - they have not secured a long-term deal with CCFC.
But we did run a whole front page piece on how there might be a longer term deal at some point yesterday.
Tony, just opinion is that of a CCFC fan and not someone who isn't already biased.

Biased to what?
To be blunt I think I'm just stating the obvious on this one.
It's true. All of it.
And the royal family are all lizards. That's an exclusive btw.

Sounds awful I think I shall just continue on calling in the Ricoh
You are an embrassment, well suited to the CET.
Doesn't that make sense for a fans forum that it's mostly fans? There ain't many people involved in anything other than the fan side that dare come on here. I can see why with twats targeting them like you.
