This cost £240M, not €30Mthis is atletico madrids staduim 30 million euros
Yeah it’s a very bold way to try and buy a bit of political capital with the fans. Obviously stadium stuff has been announced before but this has a bit more weight behind it and if there are anymore false dawns regarding stadiums nobody will ever believe a word they say. Seems a big risk just to defer any criticism of playing at St Andrews next season.i just don't see what's in it for them using this strategy though now we're in the Championship. If this is as good as it's going to get why not sell now? It's not going to pull that many people to St.Andrews surely? And even if it does this season people will expect to see a bit more meat on the bones of this plan in the next year or two or they'll become disillusioned.
As said previously, the fact the Uni have also issued the joint statement gives me a lot more confidence than if it had been a sisu only announcement.
Nothing. That's what this gimp and his cronies have done for us!The announcement was worth it just to see pricks like this:
Our besties already have a thread on it:
Coventry plan to build a new stadium
interesting... You must be registered for see element.www.readytogo.net

If they can get a light rail linkup to the HS2 station that would be a stoke of genius.

Fair play mate I take your point and if anything I envy your optimism, I just hope you're right!
10,000 capacity £11m to build.Fully understand scepticism but as most have said Warwick Uni are no mugs & everything we know so far is totally in keeping with what Joy & Dave told Mark & Pete back in February including the 5 year rent deal etc:
Meeting with Joy Seppala & Dave Boddy - Thursday 27th February 2020
Following the statement issued on behalf of this forum in January by Pete Griffiths (@Sky Blue Pete), myself and Pete met with both Joy Seppala and Dave Boddy on Thursday 27th February. We started by sharing some background information on why forum members collectively felt the need to issue...www.skybluestalk.co.uk
Looks like Shrewsbury is the similar model we'd look to adopt which makes sense given the mooted costs & the ability to expand etc.

It's also reassuring that even millionaire businessmen can get there and their mixed up! Their's hope for me yet!Someone that cares about our club, puts his own money in and walks away when people are trying to do something dodgy v Coventry City council
I still think Ricoh is the target this could be just another twistThat's what we're aiming for? Shrewsbury? Can't say I'm doing cartwheels at that.

I think it's a tidy little ground, double it in size, which is what we're aiming to start at, and you've got something decent. That's what we're aiming for? Shrewsbury? Can't say I'm doing cartwheels at that.
Prefer the sides to be seated rather than gaps personallyArguably yes but it's not going to be a carbon copy.
@mark82 & @Sky Blue Pete may correct me but I think that was mooted as a style of stadium; i.e. Modular, 4 proper stands rather than a bowl etc.

CornersThe sides are seated.
