Where are we in the goals scored league?
How much would O Hare be worth in the transfer market as a guess
In a shocking turn of events you're wrong again.
Doesn't matter where we are in the goals scored charts - the point is we should have scored more.

Tell robins we all agreeSurely we should be trying to ensure we actually finish in the top half this season?
True thoughHaha fucking hell, this one has killed me off
Heard Oggy make a point when I was driving back from the match about the number of games we’ve taken the lead in, something like 15, only lost 1 and got 34 points (I think). We’ve gone behind in something like 27 games. We take the chances and that doesn’t happen
I take Grendels point that defence needs to be better as well but yesterday, we miss three clear cut, they score a belter and can shut up shop
lol on that basis you’d be recommending we get rid of the biggest culprits Gyokeres and o hare I assume
If you did get rid of them where would we be if their replacements didn’t reach their level of play.
That’s effectively what you are saying - replace the players - I think that’s a strategy for less points not more
The problem is this doesn’t operate in tbe real world - it’s over simplistic and doesn’t factor in the impact of removing players who aren’t converting
Can you point out where I, or anyone, has said that we should get rid of O'Hare and Gyokeres?
Imagine wanting your team to finish as low as possible so you can moan and point score on the Internet. What a sad existence.
Piss off and support Liverpool or Man City, I think you'd enjoy it a bit more.
True though
Hopefully , we need a bigger squad
Does it really make any difference? I would rather the focus on next season now. Give experience to players like Eccles in my view.Surely we should be trying to ensure we actually finish in the top half this season?
I like @GrendelOne other point…….
Grendel can be a wind-up merchant who tries to incite a reaction from others.
However, when living through the match-thread earlier today- I think he was very harshly treated.
He was consistently lambasted for being pro-COH. I know he can invite criticism (Grendel), but many of the comments were OTT.
Grendel is a clear fan of COH. I am as well, along with many others. I think we’d be a much worse team without him. Every mistake COH makes was an excuse to “have a go” at Grendel.
Criticise him for other comments, but anything relate to COH is a little harsh.
NB: yes COH’s finishing needs drastic improvement!

I think we'll be seeing a lot more of Eccles next season. Think we'd have seen a fair bit this season if he hadn't got injured.
It's just a think Grendel does that encourages people to bite. One other point…….

Maybe, but as far as I know it doesn't affect the prize money we recieve and if there's something we can do that could help us build towards next season such as looking at squad players or giving experience to youngsters, even if just on the bench, that would be a more sensible use of the game. If you don't need to eat the potato today you could plant it and get a good crop of potatoes in the future instead.Surely we should be trying to ensure we actually finish in the top half this season?
None of that is going to be overly beneficial for next season.Maybe, but as far as I know it doesn't affect the prize money we recieve and if there's something we can do that could help us build towards next season such as looking at squad players or giving experience to youngsters, even if just on the bench, that would be a more sensible use of the game. I agree. If all of those players we have that should have been vying for first team spots but weren't had been up to scratch our squad size would have been OK. Every club will have some duds though, so in reality you need a few more because it'd be practically impossible to have every player playing as expected. The size of the squad isn't the issue at all. It's a complete myth used as a scapegoat to brush aside glaringly obvious mistakes in the recruitment department - namely regarding who gets offered what in terms of contracts. Understandably our budget is smaller than most but that doesn't change the fact that we have to utilise it better next season, if anything it highlights it.
Last summer we began the season with more or less a full Starting XI of players that either had no chance of playing a part this season or would be quickly frozen out.
This summer that number will be reduced to around 5-6 which is progress but it's still far too much deadwood eating up the budget and needs to be reduced further - which is far easier said than done.
Maybe. Maybe not.None of that is going to be overly beneficial for next season.
Maybe. Maybe not.
But let's say we play Hamer and he scores/creates a goal in a win, but gets booked and so misses the first three games of next season. Is that a worthwhile trade off? Personally I'd leave Hamer out of this game to ensure he's not suspended starting next year, even though we'll be weaker for that one game.
It's just a think Grendel does that encourages people to bite.
He has opinions on players that he will not waive from and so a tiny mistake by one of his non-favourites will be picked up on while the same mistake from CoH will be excused for something or he'll point out how much he's added over other games.
Had a skim through the match thread yesterday afterwards and Grendel was critical of Allen and Hamer but constantly defending O'Hare. It's the lack of consistency and fairness that just gets people to respond to him (of which I am also guilty).
