Couldn't get in mansfields team and scored 3 in 19 games in 2 loan spells. 2 seasons in his career over 10 goals. 5 year deal surely.Could be worth a contract on a free career seems to be going the wrong direction was on loan to Mansfield in league two but maybe robin's coaching could get him firing again?

We seem to be just offering 3 yr deals at the momentCouldn't get in mansfields team and scored 3 in 19 games in 2 loan spells. 2 seasons in his career over 10 goals. 5 year deal surely.
Front line of Toney, Eisa and Maddison looks pretty potent (assuming they keep the first two)Mo eisa gone to peterborough
And then they've got Godden on the bench, who hit 18 in his debut season last year.Front line of Toney, Eisa and Maddison looks pretty potent (assuming they keep the first two)
What about Glen Whelan for centre mid been released also?Micah Richards released by Villa, not played for two years. Wonder if he fancies staying in the Midlands, I'm sure we could offer him fantastic wages.
We don't need old cloggers whose legs are going that have no resale value. What about Glen Whelan for centre mid been released also?

Wouldn't even totally Base it on resale value, league one football, especially some of the wingers/strikers, has a habit of being very pacey. Not sure someone lacking match fitness/practice along with gained and natural timber would fit the bill.We don't need old cloggers whose legs are going that have no resale value.

You would want to sign a player who hasn't played since October 2016??Micah Richards released by Villa, not played for two years. Wonder if he fancies staying in the Midlands, I'm sure we could offer him fantastic wages.
I don't think he's really played much for a lot longer than that as well, less than 50 games in 7 years. He's finishedYou would want to sign a player who hasn't played since October 2016??

Considering they couldn’t match what we’re paying McFadzean I’d suggest they’re not really competitionCarey who was previously linked with City is now interesting Burton Albion, who are in the race for his signature.

I'd take Whelan in a heartbeat but he'll get better offers than us.I wouldn’t want Whelan, bit too old. But his legs have hardly “gone”! His game’s never been about pace and he played 35 games in the Championship this year.
Not necessarily, they might want to pay less for some players so they can pay more for others.Considering they couldn’t match what we’re paying McFadzean I’d suggest they’re not really competition
Moral of the story is you can't judge a budget or squad until the transfer window closes. Not necessarily, they might want to pay less for some players so they can pay more for others.
We’ve got Glen WhelanHaven’t followed his career so don’t know how he’s played lately but I think subject to fitness he could do a Michael Doyle for a year or two. Trouble is he might be fee free but would want a good and probably prohibitive wage.
Do explain, it’s a bit early to work out crypticsWe’ve got Glen Whelan
It doesn’t work.

It will work if you reverse Kelly and Whelan. The song about Doyle.

For that sort of player, we should have been in for Boateng who signed for MK dons.Glen Whelan is the type of experienced player who could be the bed rock for any lower league club with promotion hopes. Kevin Prince? George???For that sort of player, we should have been in for Boateng who signed for MK dons.
Strong defensive midfielder
Hiram, he was from Exeter and was very highly rated, we should of tried to get himKevin Prince? George???

Dons bolster with Boateng
Kelly and Boateng would have been great together too! Deffo would have been the link with his old bossWould assume he wanted to link back up with Tisdale.
Peterborough just splashed over a mill on a former league 2 player who scored none in the championshipBut a League Two player ...
Peterborough just splashed over a mill on a former league 2 player who scored none in the championship
That just because he's a 'league 2' player, teams see potential in him still even though he flopped in the champWhat does that prove apart from that Peterborough have spent money?
