You also have to pay extra to have the Charity on there as I think as standard they come with nothing, people would only moan that they bought the shirt with a sponsor and it changed straight after.

Yes...trading standards & all that! A "Replica-Shirt"...that is not a replica?

We've always had the option of buying the shirt (the price hasn't changed from what its been for a while) and making the donation to charity, but now it comes with a free defacement of the shirt and sisu get to make it sound like its them making the donation when it isn't, it's whoever buys the logos.

Have sisu said it's them donating?

well some people must think so because they are praising them for it.

Honestly when a charity benefits I don't normally care about the motivation but the charity are going to benefit in such a tiny way because it's such a crappy offer and so the main beneficiaries are sisu and the sponsors, still I wouldn't have started a thread on it as I don't have a problem with it, other than thinking people that take them up on it a choosing a silly way to donate to charity, but when people start threads saying what a nice gesture and people start criticising those who disagree with it being a nice gesture, it needs pointing out why it really isn't and that actually it's about what's best for sisu.

I can't wait for the next charity event at the Ricoh. 50 pence in, all proceeds straight to a local good cause.

*except the profit from the bar takings

It's modern day philanthropy!

They are selling a limited amount of "FA Cup" shirts at £10 each. You can add the 12bet.com and Pure Properties logos for £7 with all proceeds from this going to the Grace charity.

They always sell off away shirts for a tenner after the christmas before they bring out a new shirt.

Once again for people that can't read, for the people who are only able to read the half a sentence out of context that they have an answer for, for the people who prefer to misrepresent people because its the only way they ever win a debate (not that winning by misrepresentation is winning). There is no outrage here.

Money going to charity is a good thing, but what sisu are doing here isn't praise worthy, they arn't sacrificing to give to charity, they are benefiting from others giving to charity and it really is possible that the charity will get almost nothing from this.

Be honest now do you really think any sensible person pays £7 to have 12bet.com and whatever the property company is stuck accross their chest? In fact quite the opposite wouldn't people normally actually be willing to pay more not to have their city shirts spoiled by ugly sponsor logos?

If you want to give go to their website and donate, you can tick the gift aid box and the charity gets 25% more too, then you've done the good and your shirt doesn't get spoiled.

Not sure if anyone posted this info, but the £7 bit goes straight to a charity pot; cash only, just to clarify.

So the supporters don't like the Club doing something positive.
I say well done CCFC.

In terms of accepting sponsorship for this tie, in League 1 with little income, the Club needs to maximise its income from the tie.
Its so funny the supporters moaning are the same as moaning about lack of investment.

So to cap it up, we must deprive the club of income, expect investment in the team and turn down any sponsorship deals.

They'd have plenty more income if they bought the club back to the Ricoh, but that doesn't seem to bother the likes of you.

Let us see if that investment filters down to where it is supposed to go, rather than waiting to sell players first.

Who said it doesn't bother me.

Are you talking about the income streams that the club sold and the sliding rent that they turned down opting for the Rediculous 1.2 million per year?

Also, what about the management fees that sisu charge us, arent they double what the rent was?

I never hear you complaining about that?
