Is this our new loan signing?

But in all seriousness I thought it was good to see Keiran in the stands today having photo's with the kids etc. made the long trip up on a Tuesday night to watch a struggling team play, nice to know some of our ex players are still fond of the club and appreciated the fans here.

Hope the fans who jeered Gunnarsson don't give Westwood the same welcome if he ever returns with another side.

Did you see Gunnar and Turner just jog back to their own half when they scored? I thought that was very mature and considerate.

I didn't see that but I agree, I don't think either would have celebrated if they had scored.

Fair play to them both for not joining the celebrations

Yep. On the other hand people tried to drown them out by applauding him which was nice. Not sure if either is particularly deserved, mind you.

My lad had his picture taken with Kieran, he stayed well after the whistle till every kid had a pic or an autograph, my lad was last and after a very short chat Kieran seemed like he genuinely enjoyed meeting the fans.

Fair play to him, I bet he was pleased it was only 12,000 lol

Fair play to Kieran. He could have quite easily forgotten about us after leaving.

Regarding Gunnar and Turner, ill admit I booed once when his name was read out. I thought the persistant booing was not needed, and out of order. But in the other hand, I didnt quite get the fans applauding him in a kind of protest way to the booing supports everytime he went for a throw in?!? Once would have been sufficient. Each to their own i guess.

I also didnt notice they didnt celebrate their goal, but for that i commend them. Fair play to them both for being man enough, and curtious enough to do it.

Fair on Westy, good stuff. One for the folk who are full of the "he was crap anyway (now he doesn't play for us)" bullcrap.

I'll take you all on with the Aron booing, though: he was practically getting a standing ovation when he took his first throw-so I started booing. That at least shut people up, as they all turned on me, ha ha! But seriously...I'm talking about comatose old gits who don't even applaud our own players most the time. Yet they were ACTIVELY ENCOURAGING a member of the opposition, cheering him on against our own team! Come on, get a life-applaud them before or after the game if you like, but not when they're playing against us! After that first incident, there were a lot more boos. I got the feeling in a bid to drown out those cheering. So, they brought the booing on him with their weak, sycophantic approach if you ask me.

Just in case you're one of the people who called me a knob, twat, bellend or c**t (all quotes), I'm the one (in B21) who sarcastically replied with the cry of "Come on you Bluebirds!" Maybe you should try supporting your team for once, eh?

Fair enough, there is also the reverse argument though that booing him would galvanise and spur him onto play better just to shut us up. Sort of how Bothroyd always scored against us.
I guess the best reaction from all fans would have been to do nothing at all but I thought it was unfair that he was booed.

There is a difference between cheering an opposition player and a polite applause.

Well like I say, the cheers came first. I only booed him during the first cheers-frankly, I was more booing the fans around me than Aron.

How is this giving it 'the bigin' ??

It's his money and that's generally what goes on in a casino, some can afford more than others.

Hoffmans forever wasting money in the casino; does that make him a bad person? If he bails us out you wont be thinking he is!

What annoyed me was the fans around, ahem "singers corner" who clapped Gunnarsson every time he took a throw in! OK, clap him once if you want, but don't keep doing it.

Why are some sections of the crowd more interested in cheering ex-players rather than the ones we have now?

I think they were trying to drown out the boos from the rest of the ground. I thought booing was unneccesary personally.

I quite agree. Either way is pathetic in my opinion. Booing is childish and clapping him every time he flashes a smile at the crowd is creepy.

He used to play for City like a thousand other people. Get over it.

I've seen my mate do £30,000 in the space of a couple of hours, he wasn't giving it the big-un, he was a punter losing his money.

I once saw JJ Cooke, a local boxer, go £20,000 behind, with his last bet on the table win, and he ended up walking away winning £800. Myself personally wouldn't even like to contemplate going £20,000 behind to win £800, but again, he wasn't giving it the big I am either, just a punter.

I was in Annabelles in Hillfields many years ago when my friend Matty Oldham won £96,000, and anybody who knows Matty will tell you he is exactly the same person whether he is carrying thousands as he is if he's skint.

Don't let envy of others cloud your judgement my friend.

In singers corner I thought the booing of Gunnarsson started first and people started clapping after to drown it out.

If I was there yesterday I don't think I would of booed or clapped him. Unlike Westwood he wasn't very up front about his plans last season, he just tried to fob us off by saying his agent was sorting it out whereas Westy made no comment basically confirming he was leaving. So I can fully understanding some fans booing him. Anyway, was great to hear that westy came to see us play and took the time to sign autographs, football needs more players like him.

Can we blame any of King, Westwood or Gunnarsson for leaving this shambles that is CCFC? Seriously, if all 3 had committed to the club on say 3 year contracts, we'd now be looking to sell them anyway. If any of them did decide to stay here over the summer I'd have thought they were mad.

I bet Westwood looked well rested after playing behind a defence which doesn't rely on him making world-class saves every game.

All the same, he's still made a few!

A Man U fan I work with was raving about him after they played Sunderland, said he kept them in the game single handed and he couldn't believe that he'd not got a big move sooner.
